|Bio and Links|
OK..so I've been doing Find-a-Grave for a while now and have decided to change my bio a bit.|
Here are my thoughts on this stuff.
Relax..enjoy what you're doing otherwise you should stop before you get too far into it. No man is an island and this certainly can't be done alone. Rather than complain about someone's work...help them with it.
TRANSFERS: I transfer on a case by case decision. If for any reason, you can't maintain the memorials I've transferred to you, I'll be more than happy to take it back...please don't ask for a transfer of group surnames.
PICTURES: If I've taken a picture or attached a document ... please help yourself...no need to give me credit. I don't need to toot my horn or have it tooted. I've added them to the memorials for everyone to use. If you want to attach a picture to my memorials that are better than mine...please do so. I welcome them, but keep in mind I might use them in Ancestry.com if they're in my family tree. MY ONLY REQUEST IS THAT MY PICTURES AREN'T LIFTED AND PLACED ONTO A DUPLICATE MEMORIAL OR MEMORIAL LISTED AS UNKNOWN....thanks again in advance.
EDITS: If there are errors in any of the memorials that I've entered please let me know. I'll be glad to correct them as well as make any changes necessary. PLEASE USE THE EDIT BUTTON.
FLOWERS: PLEASE PLEASE don't use the flower section as a place to add a bio for the memorial...that isn't where it belongs. If I happen to come across one on a memorial that I've created, I will ask you to remove it. I'll gladly add it to the bio...just send me an EDIT. If it isn't deleted in a timely amount of time I will ask firstname.lastname@example.org to remove it.
DUPLICATES: Duplicates happen...it's impossible not to happen. We've all created duplicates. I will gladly delete mine. Please keep in mind that some duplicate memorials are actually cenotaphs.
It's hard for me to understand that these memorials belong to any one person....I believe they belong to "all" of us.
A sincere THANK YOU to all the Find a grave volunteers for all the hard work, help and dedication that you've given me.

Hello! Thank you for your concern about these photos. I am aware of which ones need fixing, and I have contacted Find-a-grave for technical support. The strange part is that the full-size photos are right-side-up. It's only the thumbnails that get turned. Hmm...

I am gathering info for the Fletcher side of my family so I can proceed after I do the Kay/Gale side. James born: 9/8/1854/56 in Dexter, Me. Died 4/1/1934 in W. Stewertstown, NH. Believe married to Viletta Tracy 1867/1903. They had daughter Idella M 1892/1921(my grandmother)and she is buried in Lancaster,NH. I have a picture of Idella the only one we have. They possibly had a daughter Freida born about 1908. I have not completely checked this info out. I have Erie (James father) born in Me 1817/1901. Married to a Mary J Clough 1828/1881. They had 5 children. Thanks for info I am happy to help you with any info I have. Sylvia A. (Kay) Johnson

Thank you for checking. It's a bit of a mystery why the cemetery markers do not align with the vital records. Two John H. Henrys in the same locality, living somewhat concurrently.
|Christine Maguire||Transfer of Amanda Carrier|
Good afternoon Connie,
I am hoping you will transfer my gr. grandmother's memorial to me. Amanda Carrier memorial # 135907822. Thank you so much. I admire all the work that the people at find a grave do.

I just wanted to let you know the reasoning behind my edit request. Annie was my Great Aunt, and remarried. When she passed away her last name was White, not Nolet. Wilfred Nolet was her first husband.

Thank You for all you do for Find A Grave and helping people find their lost ancestors.
I have deleted the Death notice article from the memorial.
I hope a member of his family will someday see his funeral notice and be glad, that you and I took the time to memorialize some one that we are not connected to. But, wanted to keep his memory alive.
thank you for the photo of the grave in Glenwood Cemetery!
|Tim & Grace||Stephen C. Heald in Elmwood Cemetery in Sumner, Maine|
Thank you for the edit to link Stephen Heald to Abbie Rowe. It gave me a chance to make other updates, such as his death date which was mis-transcribed on the vital records, and I am also adding his military service.
Sorry it took so long to get to... I still have 13 more edits to catch up with. They are coming in fast and furious these days now that they show up as "hints" on ancestry.com.
It takes quite a bit of time to verify each edit, since most don't have their source listed, and there are many novices who still accept family "trees" on ancestry as a reliable source.
Sincerely, Tim Cooper
