Bio Photo PLEASE IF YOU HAVE ANY INFO ON ANYONE I OWN, PLEASE TELL ME! I don't care if it's a silly little story about what you remember of them! Anything to give that memorial a voice, I will add. WE are the voices for these people. Let's give them all a story. I try to find any info I can, but sometimes you fall short. So any and all are welcome.

For the first 6 years my husband and I were members of Find a Grave we never put any effort into helping others. We only used this site as a tool in finding his family. I have been lucky that my family has kept records. He has no clue about where he came from. That is why Scott and I became members of this website. Now that we have learned about his history, we decided that it's time to pay back people that helped us. I know what we are doing won't change history, nor will we get a prize for the work we do. But at least we can shut our eyes at night knowing maybe, just maybe we made someone's day for the efforts we have done. This is not a charity to us, but a way to give to others. I had a little old man tell me years ago " Talk to a new person everyday and you will grow as a person". He was right.... I have never been a shy person, which is odd that I married someone that is. But he makes me grow... Don't be hateful; it only brings pain. Be grateful; it only brings joy. Words to live by... Please don't hesitate to send me info, corrections, or even complaints. We have been photographing headstones for less than a year (8/2013) and love every second. The history I have learned and the history my husband has helped me with has been mind blowing. I always hated history. To bad they didn't teach us this kind of history in school. Please everyone: THIS IS MY ACCOUNT AND MY HUSBANDS!!!! WE ARE LINKED; SCOTT & KRISTY!!!!! I hate people that assume I'm the requester just because that is the account name. I could change it to Bologna Sandwiches and you wouldn't think twice about the name. So quit thinking I'm the requester, just because it's my name! WE ARE THE ACCOUNT HOLDERS!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thank you and sorry on a rant...

RE: Matthew Roberson
Thanks for this Kristy, you are a gem!
When people change their names like that, I'm realizing what headaches it causes for us when we try to document their lives much later. It does seem that he fought in the Civil War under the name of Matthew Roberson so looks like the name change took place after that. I suppose that somewhere there must be some legal evidence of the name change, maybe in a court house somewhere? In any case, I don't expect anything right now in view of the holidays. I'm in Kansas visiting family, returning to Washington on Christmas Day.

RE: Matthew Roberson
Thanks, Kristy! And my apologies for not recognizing you as the one I was discussing this with some time ago. Am I correct that you posted the photo after we were last in touch? I see now that the name on the stone is Scott...In any case I'm delighted to know about this and to have the photo of his grave. I will add a notation on his memorial about the name change. I'd be very happy to receive any new information about him and his family you may have; I still have what you sent earlier. Thanks so much for your help!

Matthew Roberson
Hi Kristy,

I noticed that back in October of 2013 you kindly posted a photo of the grave of Matthew Roberson in South Point cemetery. He's a relative of mine and I manage his memorial. The memorial is here:

The name on the stone, however, is George Thomas Boott if I'm reading it correctly.
I know that one other member of Matthew's family changed his name, so I'm wondering if you have any information about a possible name change in Matthew's case as well.

Thanks, and Merry Christmas!

RE: Janet Nace
I don't know Janet personally. Her parents are relatives on my Mother's side of the family. I'm sure they knew each other.

Creason Family
I noticed that you have added a number of photos to the creasons of Orrick, Ray, Missouri. How are you related? My great great grandmother was Louisa Creason, daughter of Elijah Creason who is buried in Ray county. You can contact me at

RE: Help with Vance's
Thelma Faye Vance is still living, so no need add her. We went there today and I am so happy you are doing this.
