Bio and Links
Bio Photo Born in Danville, Hendricks County, Indiana back in 1971. Since 2000, I have spent most of my free time working on my genealogy from my father's side in Pike County, Indiana, and my mother's side in Wayne County, Kentucky.

I am formally the Vice-President of the Pike County Genealogy Society in Petersburg, Indiana and have related myself to most of the main families of Pike County.

I also am related to all the Royal Families of Europe past and present. The Kings of ancient Scotland, which was known as Dalriada, are my Great-Grandfathers. The first king of Scotland, Kenneth I (810-858) is my 28th Great-Grand Uncle. There are Royal cousins buried in Danville, Petersburg, and Otwell.

I have also related myself in one way or another to 30 Presidents of the United States. Harry S Truman is my 3rd Cousin, 2 Times Removed.

I have also related myself to 25 Prime Ministers of the United Kingdom. My three favorites are Sir Winston Churchill, David Cameron and of course, Margaret Thatcher.

Hi Terry, I'm having problems getting an email to you, so I thought I would leave you a message this way ( sorry ) I was wanting to see if you would transfer James Nixon to me ... He was my 3rd Great Grand Father. I am trying to get all my Nixon family together and would appreciate it so much. I am still trying to find my 4th who is also a James Nixon born in 1779 and died in 1835 with no luck on this sight. Thank you Terry.

Elizabeth A. (Ward) Arnold
Two things:

1) Elizabeth A. (Ward) Arnold (Find A Grave Memorial #88951671) is the sister of Amanda M. (Ward) Boger (Find A Grave Memorial # 88230485), so I have the same concern with Elizabeth relative to the comment that references her mother as Elizabeth Jane Hardin (1828-1885). Elizabeth and Amanda were not the daughters of Elizabeth Jane Hardin. There parents were John Ward and Elizabeth Ann (Hardin) Ward. See previous comments re: Amanda's Find A Grave Memorial.

2) I have been tracking John Ward and Elizabeth Ann (Hardin) Ward for a long time, and have found several records for them, but have never been able to find records that shows specifically what their birth/death dates and place of burial are. Census Records show 1817 and 1818 for John's birth date, and 1828, 1822, 1822, 1821, and Jan 1820 for Elizabeth Ann (Hardin) Ward's birth date. I know that Elizabeth Ann (Hardin) Ward was living on 02 Jun 1900, because she was in the household of her grandson Robert R. Boger (Amanda's son) on the 1900 Census. I haven't seen any records that show John's name as John Reuben Ward, although that wouldn't surprise me because that name has been passed down through the generations.

I thought since you were heavily involved in the Pike County Genealogical Society, that you might have had access to records that might not be available to me. Do you remember where you found John Reuben Ward (1815-1865).

My grandmother was a Ward, and John Ward's father Reuben was my ggg-grandfather. My gg-grandfather Albert E. Ward was John Ward's brother.

Thanks for your patience and assistance.

Rspy,

Amanda M. (Ward) Boger (FAG Memorial # 88230485)
Amanda M. (Ward) Boger (Find A Grave Memorial # 88230485), wife of Philip Richard Boger, is currently linked as the daughter of Elizabeth Jane "Eliza" (Hardin) Thompson. Amanda M. Ward is not the daughter of Eliza Jane Hardin. She was the daughter of John Ward and Elizabeth Ann (Hardin) Ward.

John Ward and Elizabeth Ann Hardin were married on 01 Dec 1842, in Pike Co., IN. See marriage record listed below.

John Ward was identified in the 1840, 1850, and 1860 Censuses for Pike Co., IN. See Census Records listed below. John Ward died between 1860-1870.

Elizabeth Ann (Hardin) Ward was identified in the 1850, 1860, 1870, 1880, and 1900 Censuses for Pike Co., IN. See Census Records listed below. Elizabeth Ann (Hardin) Ward was still living on June 2, 1900 (1900 Census), in the household of her grandson Robert R. Boger.

I have not yet located the Burial Location for John Ward and Elizabeth Ann (Hardin) Ward, but believe they are buried in Pike Co., IN, somewhere near Petersburg.

Eliza Jane Hardin married Samuel Talley Thompson on 10 Nov 1850, in Pike Co., IN. This marriage is in conflict with Elizabeth Ann (Hardin) Ward's records that I have collected thus far, and was at a time when Elizabeth Ann (Hardin) Ward was either married to John Ward, or was widowed, and running her own household. See Census Records and Marriage Records listed below.
