RE: George Gershwin
Sir,

If you had read the biography of George Gershwin, you will realize that I never said he was married. The use of an asterix (*) on the name of his supposed "wife" link indicates that the owner of the wife's site made the link to George (and not the other way). I have brought this to his attention and asked him to delete the link, but should he fail to do so, your only recourse is to write to info@findagrave.com and ask them to delete the link.

Regards,

Morgan

Jacob Dillingham
I am researching my 3rd g-grandfather in NY and wondering if this may be the same Jacob Dillingham, born about 1756, death date unknown. Would appreciate your response. Thanks.

Charles Canda - Major
Hello and Greetings

I am doing a history on the Canda family, and I was wondering what the source is for your mention of Charles Canda's rank of Major in Napoleon's army.

I was always curious what rank he held. All I know was that he served as an officer and was present at the invasion of Moscow and at Waterloo.

If you have any info on this it would be appreciated.

the very best,
