I was born in Gadsden, Alabama, in 1981. I currently live in Bettendorf, Iowa, with my wife, two kids, three rodents, five guppies, and one cory catfish. I'm an amateur actor, and sometimes professional theatre technician. I'm an organizer and writer/director for a semi-regular living history event in local historic cemetery Oakdale Memorial Gardens. I am also in the process of nominating Oakdale to the National Register of Historic Places.|
I'm also a genealogy buff, researching the following families:
Crow/Crowe, Couch, Oliver, West, Fenn/Fann, Humphries, Fleming, Scott, Petree/Petri, Mayer, Zimmerman, Smith, Sevier/Xavier Goode/Good/Goad, Ray, Henry, and McKeme (?) in the Southeast U.S. (AL, TN, NC, GA, VA, SC, AR) New England (PA, MA), England, France, Germany, Scotland, Ireland, and Spain.
Hatton, Doyle, Green, Fritsch, and Thomas in the Midwest (MO, IL, KY), Virginia, Ireland, and Germany.
I am also willing to do limited genealogical research in Scott County, Iowa. E-mail me for info.

Dustin first let me thank you for the work you do at Oakdale Cemetery.
Then I would like to ask you if there is anyway the Photo of Oakdale can be changed for my memorials. The green one which has Pet Cemetery is the one that will be posted to memorials.
Is there any way I or you can change this to the one with the name and gate, which is more historial?
I can only send a message on this site because Ihave a old machine.

Good afternoon. I am an amateur historian and Civil War buff. I am presently helping with a project to locate last resting places of C.W.veterans with Vermont C.W. ties. I would like to ask if I may use the photo of Milton Cochran's marker you posted on Find A Grave site, on the Vermont Civil War site" www.vermontcivilwar.org".
Thank you for your consideration on this.
Is there any way you can get a picture of my Grand Parent's tombstone? They are buried in Mt Calvary Cemetary in Davenport, Iowa. The name on the stone is Isabel Schulz

Dustin I am so very sorry that you had to receive that nasty message from that man about Gov. Wallace memorial.
I too, am a volunteer and put in many many hours adding memorials and headstone photos...then to get a mean person sending a tasteless message , how hurtful.
I am grateful for you time and effort, thanks for what you do .
A volunteer, Collene
|Cadwallider||Governor George C. Wallace's Obituary|
You have done a grave disservice to a great man by your scanty and ill written obituary. You have also disrespected him by not listing him as GOVERNOR of the State of Alabama, which is the highest office he attained. He also never used the appellation "Jr." I sense more than a little "left leaning" hostility in your threadbare obituary of this great man. I will see what I can do to get this matter rectified.

Thanks so much for capturing the Weidenpesch graves in Oakdale.
I discovered this gravesite several years ago and always meant to take a photo of it. You have taken care of that for me.
I'm not related to the Weidenpesch's, but I think its a very interesting tombstone.
I live across the street from Oakdale and love walking through it. Its a neat place.

Dustin, These 2 people are my mom's grandparents...I have added they're headstone pictures but they are not buried at the Fairmount Cemetery in Davenport..They are buried at Oakdale Memorial Gardens on Eastern Avenue in Davenport...If you could kindly change the cemetery setting I would really appreciate it...
