I started doing genealogy research in February of 2010 and have enjoyed this hobby tremendously. I have found a wealth of information on FindAGrave and have even connected with other family members from information I have found. I appreciate contributors who have taken the time to build memorials that provide a wealth of information to me and other researchers. Added information such as obituaries and family links have made my research so much easier. |
I live in the Denver area but my family history is mainly in Fort Bend County, Texas. It would be impossible to find all the information that I have obtained without sites like Ancestry.com and FindAGrave.
My purpose for contributing to FindAGrave is to help other serious researchers in their quests for information. I will transfer a memorial to a closer family member upon request. Please tell me how you are kin to that individual along with your request. I also welcome additional information that you may be able to provide for my memorials.
You have my permission to copy photos that I have posted on FindAGrave.

Great. I think I will do a quick walk thru of that side and look for markers from 2014 & 2015 just because.

How long has it been since you did that side? Should I make a walk through in search of any markers newer than say 2013 or 2014?

I had been wanting to do this for a long time but had to wait for retirement before getting started. My plan at Greenlawn is to photo every grave and then check it against Find A Grave to add the photo and/or the memorial. Takes a lot of time but I enjoy it. I didn't realize there were so many burials not listed already. I have completely done the side of the cemetery the funeral home is on and some of the other side. Now that the rain has stopped and as soon as the mosquitoes die down, I will again work on the other side of the cemetery. Once I have done all the cemetery, then I'll only need to do a walk thru a couple times a year to look for new graves and headstones. With you entering the new memorials and me taking photos, we make a great team.

Thanks for the info about her husband. I copied the market photo to his memorial.

I had read that, too about his burial in Guy. I was really surprised when I stumbled upon his grave at Greenlawn.

I was contacted today about my memorial for Richard Eldon "Dick" Cardwell created in Sep. 2014. I had him in the wrong cemetery. This was drawn to my attention, adding the memorial # for your memorial for Dick Cardwell. I moved my memorial to the Davis-Greenlawn Cemetery. Would it be possible for us to share information? I see that you added his headstone and obituary. I have all of his sibling and parents linked into my memorial. Would you consider deleting you memorial since I have all the links to mine and then add the headstone picture and obituary? I am not trying to offend you but, it would be quite difficult to get all the links re-done, etc. I would appreciate your help, Connie (feel free to look at his memorial that I created. It is now in the correct cemetery. Connie
