Bio and Links
Bio Photo I've been into family history since the 1960's. I'm grateful that I started when I did as so much family information gets lost because we don't ask questions early on.

Find a Grave is a great site and powerful resource. Thanks to all who work so hard to fulfill its primary purpose - documenting known burials.

I'm paying particular attention to Salem Memorial Park in Colma, CA. I appreciate being able to help fill in for all that information lost in the 1906 San Francisco earthquake and fire.

The site has also provided a couple of wonderful finds regarding my family history --- primarily Nancy Brenneman Gast Rhodes (check her out!). Until I found her on Find a Grave, everyone thought she died in 1852. I'm hoping to be able to provide similar breakthroughs for others.

I'm happy to make changes and links for well documented information. Please send transcriptions of obits and news articles (with name and date of the publication) rather than uploading an image of it to the photo area (this is no longer permitted by Find-a-Grave).

Permission is granted for personal use of any of the photos I have added, giving me credit for having provided them. Permission is denied for use of my photos for posting on other websites (this includes Ancestry.com - please use Ancestry's linking option instead). Permission is denied for for sale of my photos or for any other use for monetary profit.

The Boyd Family in Cypress Lawn Memorial Park
Larry - Thank you so much for getting all the Boyds together on one stone, in Cypress Lawn! I suspected they were all there, and you have proven that they are. Thanks again!

RE: Etting
Hi Larry, that's why I sent you another note. I have family stones too with only one of the two partners. Maybe it was a financial thing. Thank you for getting back.

Etting
Hi there again about the Etting marker. I looked more closely and Maela Etting Collom is not on the headstone. A bit odd because her husband is on the stone and he isn't a Etting. What do you think?

Boyd's tombstone in Cypress Lawn Memorial Park, California
Thanks Larry for your reply. Since Josephine Young shares a stone with her uncle, William Boyd, do you think her father, George W. Boyd is also on one side of the stone? Just a guess, since there doesn't seem to be a separate stone with him, or his wife Nancy.

RE: Samuel Wilbur Dunn
Thanks for the reply. Well, at least my cousin has a photo of the headstone in its original place.

Thanks for your service.

Joseph Gossage's headstone
As a direct descendant of Joseph Gossage I would like to inquire how one goes about replacing the deteriorating wooden headstone in Cyrus Hill? The sponsoring of the memorial only talks about removing adds. SKafka

Capt. William Boyd and Lavinia L. Boyd
I was hoping you could tell me who else is on the stone with William Boyd and his wife, Lavinia. Their Memorial #'s are: 117895900 & 117895986, respectively. I can see from your photo, that there are other persons on the other side. Also, I am looking for brother of William, George Washington Boyd and his wife, Nancy. They may also be buried here. Thanks for any help you can give me.

John and Elizabeth Macaulay
This is my husband's 2nd great grandfather and mother. I have more information of birth and death dates, plus their marriage in Scotland. We have been researching the Macaulay-Hannay-Bateman-Olsson families. I would like to link the family members.

Thank you for your work on Findagrave.com
