I have done extensive genealogy of my Vermont families - McArthur, Bates, Banister, Coombs, Davis and Boyd. I am always searching for "new" relatives.|
My ancestry goes back to the Mayflower - Degory Priest, Richard Warren and Peter Browne.

Thanks, I followed through on your link to the Hartland Vermont
It says he is buried in Old South Church, Boston, and that there is a stone is located in Hartland Village cemetery. Thanks for referring me to this site.
I visited Hartland about 10 years ago but didn't take detailed notes.

I appreciate the work you have done. A lot of my relatives are in Hartland, Vermont.
I have a question about your record for my 3GGrandfather Friend Sturtevant with a death date of 1873 buried at the Hartland Village Cemetery (Memorial ID #74814569).
Other records I have including the Robert Hunter Sturtevant, Descendants of Samuel Sturtevant, have Friend Sturtevant's death as August 26, 1830. That is also the date in the Find A Grave Memorial ID#61192528 which has Friend Sturtevant buried at the Hartland Plains Cemetery. Both have the same birth date and you list both records under his wife Sarah Porter Sturtevant #74815010.
Are there markers in both cemeteries?

I just wondered if there were individual names on the headstone anywhere.

I did some looking up and here is what Find a Grave states on obituaries:
Do not copy obituary notices from newspapers (or from funeral home notices or web sites) to an individual's memorial record unless you have permission from the newspaper to do so or you are the author of the obituary.
I hope this helps

Thanks for sending me the obituary for Annie Swasey but I am under the impression adding obituaries to the bios to memorials is against the rules. Therefore I respectfully decline to add the obituary to her memorial. I hope you understand.

Carol, Yes we are talking about the same "Mayflower" Richard Warren. Family history is fun and you meet the most interesting folks doing it.
|John Sloan||Richard Warren|
BTW..A bit of trivia...Richard Warren is the 9th great grandfather of my wife.

Thanks I've added the information to the photo notes
