Bio and Links
Bio Photo I was born in 1953 in Flint, MI. to Joseph and Edna (Smith) Boughner. I married Frederick D. Hoard in 1973. I have 2 daughters. I now live in the Applegate, MI area which is in the thumb of Michigan. My hobby is doing mine and my husbands' genealogy and spending time with my family. Family names of interest are HOARD, ANDERSON, BOUGHNER, EVANS, SHOLES, TUCKER, BARCK, BROWN, MILLER, ASTON, FRENCH, SMITH, MATHEWS, MATTHEWS, AND MANY OTHERS.
If I have added a loved one that belongs to you I would be more than glad to turn them over to your care if they aren't my close family.
Thank you to everyone who adds a flower for anyone in my family.

Thank for the transfer of Alma. The Sample family is a challenge to track.

RE: Maple Valley Cemetery in Sanilac Co., MI
Hi, yes, you are right... Hiram is one of "ours".. from Peter's line. I'd be happy to take him if you would like to transfer. It certainly seems like everyone who came through Tilsonburg was related in some way or another!

Thanks for the kind words! I just transferred Minnie to you, as you are a much closer relation. She came to me when Joyce transferred some of my immediate Boughner ancestors in the same cemetery. I'm a 4th cousin of her husband Lawrence. :-)

RE: The Licht family in St. Mary's
Dear Shirley,
THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! and your son-in-law too! for all of the work you did to make the cemeteries correct!
I contacted Anne (per Find A Grave edit 'Suggest a Correction' and asked her to change the cemetery of the 4 Licht family members. I also corrected the memorial pages I had created new and changed them to the correct cemetery.
How confusing it was! and how thankful I am that you noticed and fixed the cemeteries involved.
You are a WONDERFUL asset to Find A Grave and I thank you for everything!
God Bless you!...I do!

RE: Wilma Sharrard
No need to transfer, I am not related. I sent for an obituary for Grace Oakley Walsh and Wilma's obituary was on the same page.....I saw that you made an entry for Wilma and thought it would be nice to post her obituary. Would you like the actual obituary posted also?
Have a great day.

RE: Della, Harry and Robert Wright in Saint Marys cemetery
When I typed in St Marys and St. Marys, it still took me to Saint Marys and I still see only two choices. I think Findagrave requires that Saint be spelled out and that no apostrophe be used for consistency's sake and also for searchablility purposes. I just read the comments from another person. Go ahead and create a new cemetery and then sort through the names and put them in the right place. Does either cemetery have another name (or nickname) that might help keep the two apart as well? Be sure to add that too. Also, be sure to add the description where it is at. A photo of the cemetery will help - if no sign, a photo of the entrance or something might help. Let me know when you can get this sorted, OK? Thank you for getting this straight! It happened to me once too. :)

RE: The Licht family in St. Mary's
I checked out all 4 of the Saint Mary/Mary's cemeteries that you suggested and none of them have a photo of the sign I remember in front of the cemetery. The one you are talking about, with the little brick wall, I believe we saw at St. Mary's Cemetery by the church (and cemetery) IN the town of Port Sanilac.
Honestly, I don't believe the cemetery on M-46 (5998 East Sanilac rd, Carsonville, MI - my husband just googled where we were and found this address) has been entered into Find A Grave yet. I'm positive there is NO short brick wall out in front. There was a large wooden sign inside the wooden fence that faced out. My husband & I spent several hours walking around the cemetery. He doesn't remember anything but the sign out front either. I recall at the time considering entering a new cemetery but 1)I didn't have the address, 2)we found the Licht's listed there with the photo requests and 3)I hadn't taken a photo of the sign to distinguish THAT cemetery, which is what I think it needs. Please let me know what you want me to do, I'm happy to help in any way I can but it's about 1 1/2 hours drive from my home. We were just passing through on a short trip when we stopped, but if you need me to, I could come over one day to do whatever I can to help.
It certainly IS VERY confusing! I appreciate your help and EVERYONE will appreciate having the two entries for the same cemetery merged. What do you think about entering a NEW St. Mary's Cemetery at the address above with the big, square blue and white sign that I remember? (Cause' you would probably have to do that...smiling) Cause' we both know that the area NEEDS another St. Mary's cemetery! LOL!!
Sincerely,
Janet
