My father passed in 2003 and I suddenly realized I know nothing about my family. I have since pulled out his books he started on family research and hope to someday make a book for the family to pass on.
I find it so exciting to find, meet, and get to know family I never knew existed as well as seeing photos of generations past.
I have gotten most of my info from other family but if there is anything I can do to help just let me know.
Family names I am researching are: Havens, Siman, Simon, Solomon, Baker, Woodruff, Bolin, Bolding, Jasper, Casteel, Wilson, Snow, Junkins, Holt, Holcolm, Galloway, and Browning just to name a few...
Lots of luck in your search and I hope to get to know any and all family no matter how distant!
In regards to transfering. I think the FAG "rule" to transfering is very dumb. If I ever have a memorial that is your family member I have NO problem transfering it. I have the memorials I do so that I may direct my family members to see and help with their research. I have aunts/uncles/cousins/great granparents from all generations. If one of my family is closer to you then by all means...ASK and you SHALL receive! I am not like other members on here who have some strange fedish with collecting as many graves as they can family or not. I just find that very RUDE to keep a memorial if they are NOT related to you. As you can probably guess this has happened to me and I think that person is a very selfish and controling....Strange person!

 | Holt memorials Transferring the memorials you requested. Edward Holt married Helen Nation....Helen's mother was a Carter (my family...)...The Holt family also married into my 2 sons family (on their Dad's side) I will share any information I have in my family tree...............I TOTALLY agree with you about the "Memorial Hoarders" (as I call them). I have tried to get a memorial transferred and then find out this is one of THEM PEOPLE who just hoards memorials. And most of the time won't even add information or link family. "Memorial Hoarders" do not resepect the people who the memorial is for. They are greedy and just interested in HOW MANY memorials they can hoard. | | | Tara Havens-Lewellen

 | Charles E. Havens Memorial The headstone next to this one was Alice, Find A Grave # 48973953. It matches the style and sentiment.
What is the relationship to you?
These headstones were done systematically as a part of an effort to get all that we could listed in this very large cemetery.

 | RE: Annie Orchard
Annie was my grandfather's step-mother. His mother died when he was about 2 years old.
Do you have the correct spelling of her maiden name? I have seen several different versions and not found any documentation to verify the correct one.

 | RE: Thomas Siman Hi Crystal-I'm not related, but I enjoy genealogy and the history associated with it. Outside of my direct family, I have kind of taken on Resurrection Cemetery here in Springfield as a local "project". | | | Tim McEwen

 | Eveline Townsend/Tounzen Hi there! I saw your posting on Eveline Tounzen's memorial that she was the daughter of Thomas and Mary Polly Tounzen. I don't know if you have any other information, but on the 1860 Census for Crawford County, Arkansas, there was a 7-year-old boy named Alexander Allen living with the Tounzen family. This is my great-greatgrandfather. Do you have any information about him? I have always wondered why he was placed with the Tounzen family. I know he was probably an orphan and he had a younger brother named James Gregory Allen also living in the same area with a family named Willey. Any information would be so great!
