After my father passed away in 2004, I found a passion for researching our family history. Its been the most enjoyable experience of my life. I love meeting new cousins online and sharing information. I am always willing to share any and all information I have gathered.|
My fathers parents were both from Hancock County, Illinois, as well as each and every one of my direct lines for four more generations. I have spent a lot of time researching the people of that area.
I would like to express gratitude and love to those of you who have taken your precious time, money, and energy to take photos in the graveyards and those who post pics and info for others to view. What wonderful service you have provided for others.
Please keep in mind that my family tree work is subject to mistakes (some say it's the human in me). My feelings will not be hurt if you send me corrections. I'll always take the time to validate the info and I'll appreciate you for the time it takes to send corrections.
I always ask permissions to copy photos from findagrave. I will never use these photos for financial benefit. I consider myself ethical and mindful of others. I am forever grateful for the work others put in. I too, hope I can be of help to others.
Remember: OCD is a gift if used wisely.

Would you be so kind as to add to Abigail Whittaker Munson's Find A Grave listing her daughter, Caroline (1835-1864)? (Caroline is noted within the 1860 census at age 16 if you'd like to verify.) Thanks! Bob Bellamy (3G-grandson of Caroline)

I frequently brush the dirt from a marker, but I think I used better lighting for your mother and stepfather. Being a photographer, I will add an additional photo which feel is better. I think the family will appreciate it.

Hi. Sorry I am so late getting back to you, but I didn't get a Find a Grave email about your message and just noticed it today when I was reading another message. I have transferred him to you.

Thank you Susanna, for sponsoring the site. Gordon and my father( Ronald Stone) were brothers.
Hi Susanna, I would be glad to share my Ancestry Tree with you. However Ancestry tried to fix something that wasn't broken ! They have changed the whole format and when they did that they altered a lot of the information. It makes me furious as I worked hard to collect all that information. Just a little for instance : my husband's name is Henderson Day Braneff. They put on my tree that I was married to Henderson Day and that we had 5 children ( Which we do) and then I married Henderson Braneff and had no children with Mr. Braneff. That's just a small one as they have children being born before parents ! If I can help in some way I will be glad to. Just drop me an email, please. Thanks for the response, Mary Ellen Braneff.
|Mary Braneff||The Carter Family|
Susanna, I am closely related to the Carter line as my grandmother was a Carter. I am on Ancestry and have a lot of information. I also have a letter written during the Civil War ( Dec. 12, 1862 ) that was written by my great grandfather John Harmon Carter. If I can be of any help please contact me. I love research ! Mary Braneff
