Are you related to him? I had one class under him as a midshipman in 1953. The fourth year course dealt with classic European literature and the topic of the time was Goethe's Faust. He was a memorable lecturer.

I am related to John W. Blow who resided in St. John's in Hertford County, N.C. Any kin?
|John Rossi||Peter Blow's Son's|
Peter Blow's sons repurchased Dred Scott and his wife from Emerson's wife and set him free. Do you know who his sons were. You only have a daughter listed under children.
Thanks for all your help

I assume from your name that you may be related to CDR Allen Blow COOK, one of my English profs at USNA, ehose memorial and his father's, you maintain but which you have not linked and which is unnecessary as they share a grave and stone.

Dear Mr. Blow,
I ran across this site completely by accident, and don't know how often you check in. I am writing the biography of John Francis Campion, who, as you probably know, was a contemporary of Albert Allmand Blow during the Leadville, Colorado mining boom of the 1870s and 1880s. As it is, Blow's name is mentioned a number of times in conjunction with Campion's endeavors and other events of those Leadville days. I am working with Campion's grandsons on the project, and they have been generous with family information. I have tried to glean information from my local historical society without much luck. Some of their pertinent microfilm reels are missing. I have found the information you posted on this website to be helpful.
I know Mr. Blow married Jennie Matteson Goodell. Would this be the daughter of R. E. Goodell? I have found references to R. E. Goodell on the Internet, but am not completely certain that his full name was Roswell Eaton Goodell. Could you confirm? I believe James B. Grant married a Goodell sister - Mary Goodell?.
Any information you could provide would be appreciated. You could also reach me at firstname.lastname@example.org

Hello, I am researching Alice Kellogg, who was a good friend of Adéle Matthiessen. They studied art together in Paris in 1888. I am searching for letters and examples of drawings and paintings by Ms Matthiessen. Do you know if any exist in your family? Kellogg included Matthiessen many times in her letters to home.
|Donna Schipani||Blow Family|
Hello, I am researching my family and I have been able to confirm my Great Great Grandfather James (Jim - Jimmie) J. Blow who was Married to Annie Elizabeth "Lizzy" Newberry Blow. James dob abt 1844 dod abt 1896 Annie dob abt 1848 dod 1913. Both were born in Georgia and Both are at rest in Mount Gilead Baptist Church Cemetery in Dozier, Alabama. I was always told that my family originated in North Carolina prior to that Virginia. I am trying to link my GG Grandfather to NC. I have a federal Census record that might include him as a child of John W. Blow of GA (Jonathan Blow -- Jonathan Wesley Blow) but the age is off by approx 3 yrs vs what is on his headstone. Any info you have on the Blow family that would help me would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Dear Mr. Blow,
In my research, I have run across your numerous Blow contributions on the internet several times. Thank you for the information. I'm trying to find out about Robert Blow and his apparent death, while a student, in 1828. Do you know what happened and where he might be buried? My reason for asking is really quite interesting and I would be happy to share what I've learned.
