Any photos, bios and or other information that I have entered is avaialble for free use - no paid only websites. I would perfer that credit is given, but I put those materials and images here to be both saved for the future and to be used.
The web site offers date calculations for many of those little genealogical problems and more.
SO much of what is placed on Find A Grave is searchable, but in order to assist others in their research, I also use

Disasters strike us all, and it helps to put family moves into context when they abruptly move, relocate or - frankly - just disappear!

I also note to Find A Grave when I can find an applicable memorial.

Please take a look, it's an interesting site.
In the eastern United States you can often "discover" old cemeteries by the daffodils.

Daffodils are not a feast for deer, they multiply and spread on their own and were often the flower of choice to plant at gravesites.

And I love the sunny, bright daffodil, reminding me the long winter will soon be over and I can get out again to seek and document ancestors - both my own and for others living too distant to be there in person.

If I have "planted" a daffodil on a memorial, it is one which I have directly touched or made an addition.

My Find A Grave 'anniversary' date is 12 June 2007

"Remember me in the family tree, my name, my days, my strife; then I'll ride upon the wings of time and live an endless life."

Mom has documents for all Ben, Ben F, Sarah and Nancy Patton and Lucinda Nancy Benge in the mix.

and then there is Ben S stone in New Salem Cem with no death date on Ben.

MOM has Sarah F Browning connected to Benjamin F Johnson Sr Jan 19 1853- Oct 2 1926 and to
Benjamin S Johnson Aug 9 1977 - Nov 28 1967 and she has children under both of the Ben's

RE: Rev. Alex Johnson
I think this is the famous preacher that was at the church in 1932 shoot out. I think he is the step brother or maybe half brother to Willie B the only person who lived.

This was told to my mother by family as they took her through the cemetery.

This is something I have to make sure is correct so others in New Salem can come in to him.

Moms family has been known to be wrong on a few accounts of things.

Martha Johnson and New Salem Cem

Some one has

Hiram A Johnson 7701388 is connected to our New Salem to Andrew Johnson 7729888

if this is so then

Mollie J. Brown 7701398 was a Young

That wed Andrew Johnson and William Brown which will link the Martha Johnson Cem to our New Salem.
All three New Salem, Wyatts Chapel and Martha Johnson Cem are just minutes apart

What do you think ???
