You're very welcome. I amalways glad to help.
Unfortunately there was no name marker on this grave for Cornelius. There were two in that grave.
And a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you and yours. May the new year be prosperous and safe.

O BIT from Ancestry from the Patrick-HammonsKy Family Tree.
REV. ALEX PROFFITT DIES AT PENNINGTON HOSPITAL
Rev. Alex Proffitt, Jr., 92 year old Baptist minister, died Monday morning at the Pennington Hospital from gangrene and complications due to old age.
He had been a patient in the hospital for 3 weeks, receiving treatment for blood poisoning caused by an infection on his foot.
Funeral services were held Tuesday at the New Salem church, 10 miles east of here, with the
Revs. Mahan Clark, Walter Clark, Howard Sherman, George Young and J.A. Tuttle officiating.
Interment followed at Wyatt's Chapel by House and McHargue, assisted by the Jr. O.U.A.M and Masonic orders.
It was estimated that approximately 1,000 persons attended the aged preachers' last rites.
Brother Proffitt was born Feb 28, 1845, at Crawford, this county, the son of Alex and Polly Owens Crawford.
He always made Crawford his home but conducted churches both in Laurel and Clay counties. For twenty-two years Brother Proffitt taught in the Laurel and Clay county schools.
A member of the United Baptist church, Bro. Proffitt was considered one of the most, if not the most active church workers in the county. Until three years ago, when his health failed badly, he would mount his horse and travel for many miles around his neighborhood to preach or help some needy person.
For the last several years he has been Moderator of the Laurel River Association of United Baptists, which included many Southeastern Kentucky. He was a man that never tired of his many church duties. He also was a consistent worker in the Juniors and Masonic lodges, both of which he was a member.
Twice married, first to Miss Vina Phelps and then to Miss Martha Johnson,
Bro. Proffitt is
survived by thirteen children, Walter, Zee, Jarvy, Leonard, William and Charles Proffitt, and Mesdames Rose Bundy, Ollie Hicks, Linda Hicks, Delora Johnson, Maggie Wyatt and Susie Hicks. He also leaves one sister, Mrs. Susan Johnson, of Boston, Ark, and one hundred and six grandchildren.
February 28, 1845-April 19, 1937
On the 19th night of April, 1937, the death angel visited the home of the Proffitt children and took from them their kind and loving father, Rev. Alex Proffitt. He jointed the United Baptist church at New Salem the second Saturday in March, 1869, and was ordained to preach the third Saturday in August, 1883. He was pastor of New Salem Church about fifty years, and was the Moderator of the Lauren River Association of United Baptists from 1890 until his death. He visited more homes that were in distress than any minister in this part of the state. He never was sent for to visit a home rich or poor, but what he went. He was twice married, first to Vinia Phelphs, who died leaving him wth six small children. Then he married Martha Jane Johnson and to this union were born eleven children. She died Nov. 28, 1909. The home has lost a good father, the country a faithful minister, and he is missed by all of the communities. He is gone from us now. He can never come back to us again, but we can go to him. We miss him at home; we miss his vacant chair; we miss him at the church, we miss him everywhere.
