Bio and Links
Bio Photo I enjoy helping with family research. I travel to cemeteries in Colbert, Franklin, Winston, and Walker Counties in Alabama.

I'm working on making some corrections in "B" last names of the Woodlawn Cemetery in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada. When I uploaded my spreadsheet it moved the middle names down a line. Please bear with me as there is a lot of them.

Please use the edit tab on one of my memorials to contact me about any additions, corrections, or ask for a transfer. Please remember to state your relation to the individual. Under most circumstances, I freely transfer memorials that are not related to me.

Thank you!

Robert Emmett Coburn

Robert Emmett Coburn, was also married to (Malinda Elizabeth Potterfield)Cost & Coburn.

She was first married to William F. Cost. He died in 1981. In 1884, she married Robert Emmett Coburn.

The best I can tell, she and Robert did not have any children together.

Malinda's first husband, William F. Cost, belonged to Co. K, 11th New York Cavalry.

He was stationed in Washington, DC and he guarded Pres. Abraham Lincoln during the entire war; including being there when Lincoln was shot and they caught and hung Booth and the gang.

His story I wrote of their lives is on:
GOOGLE:>> William F, Cost, 11th NY Cavalry

Hope the info helps you...

Obit search
Will be in The Tacoma News Tribune.

HOWARD, JOHN R 06 JUN 1950 26

The Tacoma Public Library has a searchable obit date database online. I did not find Ms. Harting or Ms. McCullar/Tourtellotte. However I think their obit database is still being worked on? Not positive on this.

RE: Melvina McCullar
I'm very happy to have made a family connection for you. If you wish to have their memorials I'd be honored to hand them over to you. Perhaps one day you will get to visit their burial plots. :)

RE: Melvina McCullar
I just looked through my originals. When I take photos I go along the rows. I can state that Melvina McCullar is between Marguerett A Harting and Mathilda Howard. Mathilda is next to John R Howard. I checked the Washington State Digital Archives and Melvina does show a spouse. I've added this info to her bio section.

Looking at the scans I took of the microfilm I mentioned in the previous message I sent about Ms. Harting, I can see Melvina listed, but under the last name of Tourtelotte. Her internment number is 6774. District noted as Prosser, which agrees with her death info on the archives. She was 51 yo. Died on Aug 21 1936, which agrees with the archives. She was buried on Aug 28th. However the burial location is noted as Spruce 1 Lot 1 Grave 9. Its possible they moved her since these records were microfilmed to the Koster section.

Checking her digital archive info, a spouse is listed as William N Tourette. However with the handwritten information being Tourtelotte, it questions which is the right information. Checking the digital archives there are a couple William Tourtellotte's listed. Once William E died in Spokane in 1928 and a William S died in Seattle in 1958. LDS census search shows william S with a Clara D, so that eliminates him. And William E is shown in census with an Almira E, so its not him either. So maybe William N. died out of state? If he happens to be at Mt View, he must not have a marker. Which would require you contact them to see if he is or isn't listed as being interred there (as the microfilm records only go to 1957).
