Bio and Links
Bio Photo Please let me know if you would like me to transfer any of my memorials to your family that are not in my family. My grandson Owen and I really enjoy this time together. He especially likes the veteran areas and is really into Gettysburg and Lincoln. We found a relative that had brunch with Lincoln on the day of his address and then she sat on the platform steps to hear his speech.

We have taken many extra photos when looking for family so that someone else can use them. Please do not hesitate to ask for a transfer.

There are many headstones that are completely erased by time or very hard to read. I will list those as Unknown in the hope that maybe someone will recognize them. I will leave flowers so that they know they were not forgotten.

And for all the Findagrave members, there is a light at the end of the tunnel. I was fortunate enough to have an encounter with my Dad who passed in 1995. While visiting our cemetery, I always stop and check the flowers I had put on the grave. Last time I was there, I was sitting in my car (hot outside) and a brief fragrance came past me. I recognized it immediately. It was the same way my Dad smelled after showering and shaving in the morning getting ready for the office. I have not smelled that pleasant fragrance since 1995.

The latest surprise I had was at Hampton Union cemetery in Hampton, PA. When I got home and loaded my photos on the computer, I had a picture I did not take. It was a complete figure of a person that was translucent. But the odd part was that I was alone that day. It could have been me because my arms are not long enough to take a full body picture and there was no background--no other stones, trees, grass or houses--just white.

Millard Fillmore
His memorial is in the wrong cemetery. His death certificate states Wrightsville Cemetery, York County, which is south of Harrisburg. I sent an email to Cindy so she can transfer him and Ada to that one.

RE: mary strickler
Hi Sheila,
The photo I listed is on the reverse side of the one listed for Ulrich Strickler, Section K, Site 132 at the Loudon Park National Cemetery. Many other veteran's monuments are inscribed with the names of their wives (many are nearby). This one did not. I viewed all areas around the site location, (Section K, Site 132) and there were no additional markings anywhere. I hesitated to post the blank photo but because the location matched, decided to do so. I did take a photo of the front showing "Ulrich Strickler" - if you would like that, please let me know.

Hard to tell where the "Catherine" came from ... Probably a suggested edit somewhere along the line. At any rate, the "Catherine" is now gone!
