Bio and Links
Bio Photo I have been interested in genealogy since 2004. I am retired and live in Gambrills, Maryland. My main genealogy interests are in Western Maryland and S. Central Pennsylvania. My wife is also involved in her genealogy in Eastern Ohio and Western Pennsylvania. We visit cemeteries to find our ancestors' stones and markers. I enjoy photographing the monuments.

Main families of interest are Minnich (Minich), Keefauver, Lemen, Harsh and Stone, Craig, Lydic, and Buterbaugh. Others are Johnston, Swonger, Lloyd, and Miner.

If I have made a duplicate, please contact me and it will be deleted quickly. Also, since only five free photo spots per person are allowed in findagrave, please do not add unnecessary photos to any memorials. Obituaries should be typed in the Bio sect and not added as photos. Transfers may be made if you ask using the EDIT button and also state relationship. You have my permission to use my grave stone / marker photos for your private use. For any use of my family photos please contact me. Hopefully, you will source or link the photos. It never hurts to give someone credit for helping you.

I have been purchasing "orphan-rescue" antique photos with names sufficient to search and find a 'home' for them. Some success has been had. There are photo albums of Hellyers (Seneca F., etc. - PA) and Hopkins (Arthur, Lewis, etc.) that are awaiting family.

Findagrave is as good as we make it.

Hi Mike, Thanks for the updates, they have been made. There is nothing wrong, even by Find A Grave rules, with having two memorials for the same person as long as they are in different cemeteries and as long as one is marked as a "Cenotaph".

The one you have would be a "Cenotaph" in his honor and I think you should add the record. Once added you can contact Find A Grave and they will mark your record as a "Cenotaph".

If you do so .... let me know and I'll also make a link on his record at Baltimore to yours.

( He is also noted on the below webpage with a link to his grave )

Thanks My Friend,

RE: Sarah Strine #95347073
Hi Michael,

Thank you for tryin' to find whatever lineage this RE: Sarah Strine #95347073 is.

I agree with you on the possible Minnich lineage.

Just one of those other puzzle pieces for my family tree!

Thank you so much!

Sarah Strine #95347073

Dear Michael Minnich,

In researching Strine ancestors, I came across this memorial you created for Sarah Strine #95347073 who looks to be buried around the Minnich family grave marker.

Would you happen to know if this Sarah Strine was born a Minnich and married a Strine family member?

I was trying to see if this Sarah married a Samuel Strine who was born about 1837 in PA.

Thank you for your time.

Rebecca Strine

Michael, I added some memorials that are children to your relatives in this cemetery. I linked them to the parents and/or requested linking to the parents and I transferred the ones I created to you.

RE: Wilmer Daniel Johns
Michael,

Yes this does sound like him and I am pretty sure he went by Daniel or Dan instead of Wilmer and they were living in the Windber area in that time period and the age sounds right so please add it.

Thanks Alec
