Joanne, I see what you mean. That was silly of me not to fit the marriage date into the frame. It looks like March 15th, but I can't focus on the year. I will look to see if I cropped the date out of the original. Otherwise, I can stop by the grave next time I'm passing through Berryville if you'd like.

I believe I will need your email address in order to send you any photos. As an aside, you mentioned that you could not get a copy of the cemetery records. There Is a big sign board outside the church that lists all that are buried there. Isabelle is not listed.

|Tom Loy||Isabelle Hockenberry Marker|
I made a visit to the Ebenezer Methodist Church cemetery today. While was there I visited Joseph Hockenberry's gravesite to see if there might be a marker or any thing to indicate that Isabelle might be buried there. There is a lot empty space around Joseph's tombstone but nothing to indicate that someone else was buried there. If you would like, I can send you a photo of the area in question.

Here is the inscription you requested minus one word .
"Lo, where the silent___?____ weeps
A friend, A wife, A mother sleeps
A heart within who's sacred call
The peaceful virtues loved to dwell."
The undecipherable word starts with an Me or maybe Ma. I did take a close up photo. If you would like I can send it you to see if you can decipher it.

|Greywolf||Carence Cleveland Carlisle|
I am the grandson of Clarence Cleveland Carlisle. The information you have provided is very helpful. I can provide information and would like very much to converse with you. I have been trying for years to find information on my family. My father Earl Clifford Carlisle has been absent since around nineteen fifty. He has since passed but I cannot find any information on him. I am sure we could be very helpful to each other in this.
