I am a single (42 years old) mother of a 20 year old daughter. She is Princessrugrat on here.
I have a deep love for cemeteries. I love the art, the history, and the untold stories about each resident. I find it peaceful and thoroughly relaxing to walk through cemeteries. I'm working on several but the main one at the moment is Oak Grove Cemetery in Conway, Faulkner County, Arkansas.
I was born and raised here in Arkansas as were both of my parents and all of my grandparents.I started searching my genealogy in the Sixth Grade as a project and haven't stopped since.

 | Melvina Layton Seems like Melvina and her mother somehow got mixed up as per the date they passed. Hope this clears things up.Added by D Walker on May 18, 2013 10:57 PM | | | Beckie Williams
 | RE: Janice Hutto There is no gravestone, yet. I will try to keep checking back from time to time and add one as soon as they put one up.

 | Bistineau Cemetery, Webster Parish, Louisiana Libby,
I have Allen J. Smith Aug. 26, 1870-Nov. 26, 1901 The Memorial shows dod as 1909 but tombstone shows 1901.
I also, have Allen Jack Smith June 13, 1933-Oct. 8, 1934.
Is the one you want Allen Jack Smith the last one. He is listed in the 1982 survey and the 1997 list that I have. So, hopefully his grave is still marked.
Maybe next week, I can get back to the cemetery again.
There are several Smith's buried around him. They are probably his family.

 | Eliza A. Fuller, Riverview Cem., Warren ME I have a photo of the back of her stone. I will post it.... | | | Jan Warren
 | Matthew Robinson Miracles of all miracles! I was looking through the Riverview cemetery for another stone and I happened to notice four stones behind a metal fence that is also overgrown. I don't know why I stopped for another look because I only had a few more minutes of daylight left. There was your missing Matthew Robinson! The other three stones were for Thurston, Sarah and I think Mary Robinson. They are really hard to read and the light was bad. Do you want me to post the photos that I got or wait until I can get back and get a better one? I'm not sure if the dates are readable even with a better photo but I might be able to figure it out on another trip. | | | Virginia Wilson Bailey
 | Allen Smith Libby,
Please add Allen Smith in Bistineau Cemetery, Heflin, Louisiana back on your photo wants. There are two Allen Smiths and I added the wrong one. I removed it and will try to get back to make a photo of the right one. | | | Bob Collins
 | RE: Charles E. Talley Photos on memorial pages are thumbnails. Click on them to enlarge them and reveal captions. The caption for the photos on the Talley graves (Charles and Catharine) is:
Green-Wood Cemetery Section 126, Public Lot 5047, Grave #18. The Talley grave is unmarked. It is in the center of the photo, about 6 feet to the left of the Honner stone. [NOTE: Lot burial list from online cemetery records, with burial dates, which may represent reburials after removal from previous graves. This list may be incomplete. Contact cemetery for complete information about this lot at http://www.green-wood.com: TALLEY: Charles E, 1/18/1901; and Catharine A, 6/2/1897.] | | | Diane & John
 | RE: Re: Donald Laverne Kraushaar What a find!! I always look thru those items, too, at flea markets but never was lucky enough to find anything with names, etc. Thanks for posting what you found on Find A Grave!

 | RE: Shiloh Cemetery Photo Request (AR) There's no longer any school there. The GPS coordinates for the school put in right in the middle of a tree farm. However about a 1/4 mile away there was a clearing with a road going to it. I bet that is where the cemetery is at if it still exists. There's been a bunch of cemeteries in MS destroyed by tree harvesters.

 | Re: Donald Laverne Kraushaar You sent me his 2009 obituary. Can you tell what newspaper it was in? Probably The Alton Telegraph. I like to list that when it's known. Thanks.
