|Ross Cameron||RE: Caroline Pemberton|
Thanks! I am glad that my pointing that out did not offend you. We all do things like that.
I have not had any response from the lookup people as to the death notice for "Richard" Pemberton, but I am almost sure it must be for Clay.
By the way, do you know if Caroline's tombstone was erected in the past several years? It apparently was not there in the late 1970s, forty years after her death, when an updated transcription of the stones was made. In the late 1960s there was an inquiry from a relative to the Lawrence County Historical Society about Frank having died and been buried at Mt. Vernon. At that time it was thought he might have been buried at the City Cemetery rather than Williams. Presumably someone found Caroline's obituary later which mentioned Williams Cem. so the family knew to put the tombstone at Williams.
thank you for creating this...just thank you...i dont think there are words for what i feel at finding this....he was my grandfather...he was a man...and is a legend all at the same time...just thank you

Are you sure? She died in Kansas in 1896. Her sons names are Daniel and Patrick. I think her other son is buried there Thomas J. Thanks!!

Thank you for the transfers. I will ask the granddaughter who gave the article if she has photos, as I do not. I intend to keep your work on memorial & thanks so much for all that you have done!
|Carl F. Johnson||Masters family|
i just wanted to thank you for all the work you have put into Find A Grave and for all of the family members of mine that you have found and created. Isiah Masters was my great grandfather and I used to hear stories galore about him. I knew he was the one that had lost his arm in the Civil War...my grandmother said it was at Gettysburg....was never certain, but was very happy to see you have it on his memorial. Plus all of the others....thank you so very much!

Want you to know how much I appreciate your taking time to get the wonderful pictures of the monuments of John S. Everman and John S. Everman III. Also, thanks for the additional pictures of the buildings and grounds you have taken and posted to this cemetery site as well. Thank you for your time you give to Find A Grave to help others. My deepest appreciation to you for this.

Heavens no, won't that mean people will have to pay for Find A Grave searching, something they have sworn they will never do. Where did you find that news? I'm not sure that is good news.
Hi - Didn't know if you had seen this information: Ancestry Acquires Find A Grave.
|Cheryl Weeks||Mary Jane Wellington|
Hi, I just returned from Kansas City where I attended my Aunt Janie's (Mary Jane) funeral. Going thru all of her old photos etc. got me going on my family tree again. I was happy to find this web site and more then that, that you had already posted this most beautiful tribute to her. Thank you for taking the time to do the work you do, I turly appreciate it. Once I get a little better at this, I'll be able to add some photos too.
|Merri Allen Vinton||Allen Links, Edgar Co IL|
Thank you for your suggestions to link the 3 children to their father, William Allen, who you have added to the Allen Cemetery in Edgar Co, IL. I have researched this family for over 30 years and have not yet found evidence of William's death nor his burial place. As I see it, one can only presume that he is buried there at this point. If you are a descendant of this family, perhaps you can offer that proof. Additionally, I would like to hear from you privately in an effort to collaborate our research. I am returning to the area in a couple of weeks to continue my pursuit. In the interest of those who want correct primary sources for their research, I hope you can provide the information that I am missing to make Find A Grave information as accurate as possible. Thanks so much for your help.
