It is not my goal to set high numbers for "Memorials Added". I leave the number seekers to their game while appreciating their entries.|
For the most part, I simply expand information on established memorials through the EDIT system. Over 4,000 'edits' have been requested and approved and that's only counting since the new system was installed through August of 2016. Many more have added suggestions for bio information which were completed but not counted by the system.
I became part of Find A Grave to lovingly tend the memorials of precious friends and treasured family who have gone to Heaven before me. As my knowledge, skill and interests have grown, I discovered great satisfaction in Find A Grave work. It is a thrill when I can provide an obit, add a photo or especially link family members to their loved ones. ~ Linking family is my passion!
I am a proud native born Texan through 5 generations of Sheffield descendants in Waller County Texas and 6 generations of Sledge/Castleman descendants in Grimes County, TX. ~ I am an active member of the Waller County Historical Society helping to preserve the rich past in Texas history.
If you have questions, comments, concerns or contributions to my entries on this wonderful site, please feel free to contact me at the email shown below. I am 'one of the good guys' and I will help anyway possible. THANKS!
By the way ~ SPONSOR a few memorials along your contributor way. 2 or 3 a year at only $5 each will help Find A Grave stay free to all of us! SPONSORSHIP is an important number that should increase also!

Dear Donna Cox Beveridge,
Thank you so much for the 2 fine posted photo of Mr LeTourneau and the informative Note of Remembrance! :-)
Mr LeTourneau's autobiography 'Mover of Men and Mountains' would be an excellent read for any 'sand box' construction equipment operator and any engineer. I enjoyed every page!
Should you have any other photos to share of him with family or equipment, I would be most appreciative for their postings. And, if you have any further biographical data on him or his wife, I would certainly post that data, too.
Thank you for all your F-A-G efforts; I too have by default become more of an Enhancer/Linker, than a memorializer.
Always, in F-A-G brother/sisterhood,

The transfer has been made to you. The obituary obviously lacks much information and I believe each memorial should tell as much about the person as possible. I am always happy to transfer to a contributor who shares that view and will enhance a memorial that I started.
|Debra Rodriguez||Frances Washington Cotton|
Thank you for the information on Frances Cotton. I needed to fill in the information but health issues have kept me from doing any genealogy work for almost 2 years. Feeling better so back at it. I accepted all changes except the death information. His death certificate states he died in Dallas, Dallas, TX. Thanks again.
Great job Donna...Thanks !!
Hi Donna! Thanks for posting the newspaper photo and article for Lt Hand! I did not see this until now, I don't think. We still have not heard from his relative that you know. Please put us in touch with them. Thank you for all of your help!

The marriage and date has been added to the memorial. I apologize for the length of time, but it took a while to find time to verify the information.

Thank you so much for your kind words, about my grandfather who died when my mom was 5 years old.
Her heart always hurt because she lost him so young, but she remembered the whole event.
What hurts me so much is she and her little brother were very abused by her stepfather for years before her mother found out and divorced him. Times were so much harder in that time frame for women in abusive relationships.
My mother was a wonderful very sweet and loving mother. She has been gone a little over 10 years, I still miss her so very much.
My sisters and I are looking to buy a headstone for her father, our grandfather as soon as we can all 4 get together,
Again, thank you for your kindness

Thanks - great work with the links - I am doing the same with Montgomery New Cemetery and also locating Republic of Texas citizens buried there.
