Hello: My name is Bill Kazupski and I am a resident of the City of Chicago. I live on the far south side of Chicago, blocks from a few of the south and southwest Chicago suburbs.|
I come from a family of Chicago police officers. My father spent over 30 years with the force and both my brothers and I am currently a Chicago police homicide detective and have been with the Chicago police department for over 25 years. My mother is a nurse and my one sister works for Loyola Hospital.
I enjoy being a volunteer with Find-A-Grave because it allows me to get my walking exercise in while helping others. Kind of killing two birds with one stone as they say.
The following cemeteries are within walking distance from my residence:
Chapel Hill Gardens (South)
Holy Sepulchre Cemetery
First Evangelical Lutheran Cemetery
Burr Oaks - Due to this cemetery digging up burial plots and dumping the coffins and bodies, this cemetery is the focus of national media and news outlets. It is a historical black cemetery operated by African Americans. It is currently shut down to the public as the criminal investigation is in progress. (Update: This cemetery has re-opened under new management)
Feel free to e-mail with any requests for these cemeteries.
Good Luck To All!

Thanks, Bill. I added meanwhile the plot number to their memorials. In the past months I poted also about 50 requests for photos of gravestones in cemeteries in Chicago and surroundings, waiting for the snow melting away. We have an exceptionel soft winter in the Netherlands; not any snow or ice (yet?). gr. Peter
William I want to thank you for updated the memorials I have entered. Uhlich, Brand, etc. I too am a volunteer on most of this family. I enjoy putting families together.
I will be in contact with you this spring. Hopefully you will be willing to get the personal stones with the snow melts.

Sorry about the botched message. Thanks so much for all the pics and info you added for the Desmonds buried in Mt. Olivet. They're great! I added memorials for the ones on the interment list you posted that weren't already there. Sooo, when you feel like getting some more exercisce, you'll have something to do. Thanks again. People like you restore my faith in humanity.
