Bio and Links
Bio Photo I have been doing Geneology since I was 20 years old, I am now 62 yrs, you do the math, LOL! What sparked my interest was my Late Grandmother and the fact that I never knew my Lash Relatives. But if I must blame anyone for this never ending habit, I blame Mary Shenk Heberling! #29422996 She was gone for years but my Gandmother always kept her alive by talking about her as her Father Harvey who told her many things. And that was my Grandmother, Mabel"s request, to see Mary's grave before she dies. I took her there after reasearch, Memorial Day 1971. Grandma died July 11,1971.
I reside near the boundry of Lebanon Co.& Lancaster Co. and have 4 children and 16 Grandchildren. I help anyone with Family search. Email me at I will take photos of graves that are located from Ephrata,Pa. NORTH to Lebanon & Berks Co. areas. This is North Lancaster Co.. Thanks! I will share, edit & transfer to anyone. I try to stay within guild lines of Find A Grave and have much of my own family on here. I do not put people on that just died out of respect so that their family has a chance to put on stone. I also DO NOT add memorials with out proof they are on the cemetery. I am not a Church record adder! Or any Newspaper horder. I try to connect memorials where I can and think the world of this site. I drive my Red Cruser Moble and have FIND A GRAVE on it so many people know me. No don't sell monuments!
I enjoy other picture takers on this site and never met any in person. So about time I up date this bio. Any questions?? email me or help with locating? email me, will help anyone. Oh! make sure your person is at the cemetery, I go to caretakers!
Thanks to Neil & Lostinfog they are great people on here! Be Well to all and god be with you! I believe in him SO much! Harry is short for my name, Harold LASH is the last name,,,

George born 1801
Harry, I was looking at some Lash's Find a Grave sites and came across a question on George Lash #25739289 Born 1801 Died 1868.

At the end of the write up you have a sentence that states:

Most of their holdings went to their sons, to

mention William Lash and James G. Lash who

the later was one of the men who helped

layout the plans of Shillington, Berks Co. Pa.

William Lash b.1806 was the son of George b.1767 and Rosina (Hain) Lash b.1773, and a brother of George Lash b.1801.

James Good Lash of Shillington was the son of William & Maria (Good) Lash.

I have George Lash b.1801 d.1868 as being married twice.

For his first marriage on 14 Nov 1824 recorded @ Trinity, I have Sarah (Guth) Lash b.1805 d.1835 and they had 5 children:

Louisa b.1825;

Rebecca b.1826;

William G. b.1831;

Richard G. b.1834;

Sarah b.1835

>I believe that the middle initial G is probably Guth<

For George's second wife I have Lydia Ann (Siefert) b.1809 d.1885 and they had 6 children:

Henrich S. b.1839;

Mary S. b.1840 [wife of Schaeffer];

Malinda S. b.1844 [first wife of Peter M. Holl];

Emma Elizabeth b.1847 [wife of John D. Davis];

George Cyrus b.1849 [husband of Emma Kershner (Davis)]

Lydia Ann b.1852 [wife of Levi Peifer];

>I believe that the middle initial S is probably Siefert<

Please let me know what you think about this branch of the Lash tree.

RE: record for #47740553
I have no recollection of determining where he died. Please feel free to change whatever way you determine. I don't know if there even was almshouse when he died.

RE: Mary Lash Zeigler
It was no problem because actually they are in the front of the cemetery and very visible...Did you notice the spelling?...The markers are Ziegler not Zeigler...I also added a picture for Ralph E. Ziegler buried next to William...If you need any others in the area please don't hesitate to ask.

RE: How?
Hi Harry. I am your cousin Gary's wife. His dad was George Oliver Lash, buried in Grandview, Allentown.
Lovinia Brensinger Lash is also buried there. She was Floyd's wife, George's mother. Another daughter of Floyd/Lovinia is buried in Grandview- Catherine Sandel. Will be taking a photo of Lovinia's marker when we are back in Allentown at Thanksgiving.
Please send me your email to Would love to see some of the Floyd clippings. I can fill you in on this side of the family.

RE: Different cemetery LASH
Thank you Harry. You're correct, Floyd was in WWI in the cavalry so he should qualify for a veteran marker. That is something Gary needs to pursue. The story goes that there were bad feelings between Floyd and his son George (Gary's father). Floyd was a deadbeat dad who was never around, except to make babies. George had to become the breadwinner at an early age. George paid for the burial but refused to pay for a marker. Interestingly, Lovinia is buried in Grandview, near the Weaver plot.
Grandview is located on Walbert Ave. in Allentown.

RE: Woomer's

I subscribe to Newspaper Archives and Genealogy Bank. These are the two websites that I use to locate obituaries for the central Pennsylvania area. I will be glad to try to locate any obits for you. Just send me a list of names and dates of death to my private email address and I'll see what I can find.

RE: Landis Cem./Trust?
I've lived just down the lane from here and only recently found out some people refer to it as the Landis Cemetery. I had no idea it was already posted. I'd delete it if I could...
