RE: 73790807- Thomas Walling (1692-1772)
Thank you so much for your reply and the elimination of the incorrect name.

I will check my book and see what Carolyn had as her reference.

Thanks again.

73790807- Thomas Walling (1692-1772)
Are you related to this line? The reason I'm asking is I would like to know what documentation you have in listing Mary Catherine Abbott as being a spouse.

According to Carolyn D. Wallin "Elisha Wallen the Longhunter" page 66 I do not see this particular individual listed but see that his first wife was Hannah Bogert (believed to be the mother of his children) and second wife was Elizabeth Watson, widow of Captain Abraham Watson.

The Thomas Walling/Wallen born around 1627 was the one that was married first to Mary Abbott and next to Margaret White.

Thank you in advance for your time and any info you may have.

Linda

Capt. John W. Wilson
Hi I found an obituary for John W. Wilson. Might be the same as the one you have.

Wilson - In Middletown Township, on Thursday, January 14th, 1875, Capt. John W. Wilson, aged 47 years, 8 months and 28 days.
Published in The Matawan Journal, Matawan, New Jersey, Saturday, January 31, 1875. Volume VI, Number 30.
Hope it helps.

Helena Stout Hoff # 90092230
Hello, sometime in the past you added a link for Helena Stout (# 90092230) to her father, John Stout (# 9489007). It was recently brought to my attention that this memorial is a duplication of a previously made memorial for John Stout (# 6084245) by another Find A Grave member. Would you please transfer your link from (# 9489007) to the original memorial (# 6084245)? Please let me know when you have made the transfer so I can delete the duplication.

Thanks so much,
Margaret (#46905852)
PS. I hope I have made this clear but if I didn't and you are confused, please let me know.

RE: Sherwood gravestones
Hi Brett,

You're very welcome -- glad I could help. The stones turned out to be buried under a couple of inches of plant material, so its not surprising they were tough to find. There were a couple of details that may be of interest -- I'll send you an e-mail with those.

Who are you related to in The Layton Burial Ground? Have always wondered if Hannah Layton was a Sheppard or a Cooper. Any thoughts?

Brett, I looked all around the area for someone that might be related to Elizabeth with no success. She died so terribly young . . . . :-(
