Bio and Links
Bio Photo Ron is retired and enjoys doing his family's genealogy in the U.S. and Sweden and that of his wife's family from Australia and Ireland.

I'd be happy to transfer the memorial of anyone to whom I'm not more closely related. I find it rather selfish of those folks who require Mayflower Society standards before a transfer can be requested. This is not a competition to see who can "acquire" the most memorials - and what happens to them if you get hit by a truck.

RE: Sarah Stroh
There was no mention of any children in either of the obits. I also believe that on the 1900 census, it notes no children born.

RE: Sarah Stroh
I do not believe that Sarah had any children. Did she? Her parents are buried at Evergreen in Auburn. I believe that I already submitted an edit to you to add that family link.

The original memorial was deleted and a new one had been made. The correction was done.

Jean/Harold were actually my neighbors when they gave up farming and moved into Taylorville. I walked the cemetery three times and I don't think Gail has a headstone...which, of course, made me sad. But, I wondered, too, if she had gotten married and perhaps was under another name.

When they gave up farming and moved into Taylorville, IL, THEY WERE MY NEIGHBORS!! Could not find Gail anywhere in the cemetery so not sure about her having a headstone but she wasn't anywhere near Harold/Jean....I've walked the cemetery THREE times and couldn't find her.

It was my pleasure to find them for you.

Hi Ron

The Social Security Application and Claims Index on has the birth place as Taylorville. I did see that several family trees on Ancestry had the birth place listed as Tovey. I believe the Social Security Application would be a more reliable source. The Social Security Application also has the birth date as 28 Aug 1902, which is the same as what is on the gravestone.

Regards, Larry

"In reviewing your bio, I noticed that you insist on a firm line on transfers"

Oh my that is not true at all!!! If you have any relatives or friends that you want transferred just let me know. I am happy to do it. :-) I will update my profile to include "loves to transfer."

I only ask that people let me know if they are related. Because, I am interested. Not to make it a barrier.

Thanks for your feedback.
