Hunting down Gerberichs & all variants of the spelling. Burials with the sheath of wheat logo in the flower section are descendants of Hans Gerberich from Altfeld, now in Germany, the surname translating to "rich in sheaths". (Still have thousands to find and add!)
I now strictly adhere to the Find A Grave guidelines regarding transfers. No exceptions. Requests made that fall outside of the guidelines, or do not state relationship, are no longer being acknowledged. Virtual cemeteries are the way to "gather" your ancestors together.
Please don't justify an out-of-guideline transfer request for the sake of adding links and/or other information. Am perfectly capable of doing this as I do hundreds of times weekly. If you decide to not forward information or links because a transfer isn't done, then that's your decision.
Finally, I will NOT add a link to a burial unknown memorial. There have been some unpleasant scenes between members when the burial location has been found and I've changed the link(s) from the burial unknown to the known burial location memorial.
Please be assured most updates, corrections and links (via SAC, email or message) are done within a week or so. Guidelines do suggest a member send no more than 20 per week to a single contributor but have no problem with receiving as many as needed to get the objective accomplished - which is getting memorials, and the cemeteries, as accurate and complete as humanly possible.
MEMBERS HAVE 30 DAYS TO RESPOND TO REQUESTS OF ANY KIND. PLEASE REFRAIN FROM OVERLOADING THIS PAGE OR MY IN-BOX WITH MULTIPLE REQUESTS FOR THE SAME UPDATE, TRANSFER OR CORRECTION. The Find A Grave motto is Patience is a virtue around here. | |

 | RE: Sabina Dieffenbach Yep! And right at the base of the chimney of the east side of the church! Right there side by side. Yes, a little more space in between them than normal, but she was there all along! | | | LisaAnn Spalding Deeter

 | Arlington National You say that that soldiers from Bull Run are not at Arlington as unknowns,in section 2 of the cemetery is the civil war unknown monument, the first memorial at Arlington National cemetery dedicated to unknown dedicated to unknown civil war soldiers dedicated in 1866. The sarcophagus sits atop a burial vault containing the remains of 2,111 unknown soldiers from the battlefields of Bull Run, Manassas and the road to Rappahannock. Now others then the ones I have placed in the cemetery, so have others. Hundreds of others have placed unknowns on Find A Grave. Now your claim there are no unknowns, there are a lot more then you think. When I have been provided proof that some of these unknowns are not buried at Arlington then I will remove them, and I will make sure everybody else does as well. It might interest you to known that there are over 147,000 union soldiers buried in our National cemeteries. That is all I wish to say on the matter. | | | Carla Hass
 | John Patton - Wrong Cemetery Hi -
The memorial for John Patton should be under the Old Pine Grove Mills Cemetery. There was a photo request and I took it the morning. Do you want me to make a new memorial for him, or do you want to move him over to that cemetery?
Thanks.
