Having a chain of stores until the Great Depression where everything was lost for him and so many of our kin. My dad, his youngest son, had saved over $500.00 in one of the Banks Issac was President of and on the Board of a few others. My dad, all his life was a saver/investor. * Please IMPORTANT NOTE ALL Find A Gravers* This set a example and Grave Law in all America!
His first bill he submitted, sponsored, and was passed was the Virginia Cemetery Bill, which forbade any destruction and/or plowing them under of them!
He alone saved the Wild Turkey (Meleagris gallopavo silvestris) from being becoming extinct when he was Chairman of Virginian Wildlife. Yes this is the Bird which the Country TURKEY attained that name. Tom, hen , and poults all. Benjamin Franklin wanted this as our national Bird.
Emblem of Methodist Church I must ask why you place so many emblems of Methodism on Find A Grave memorials. I've seen several of these on memorials of my Bassett family in Henry VA. They were not Methodists. I am not a critical person. It's that I suspect you unwittingly identified people with this church. Annie

Lena Vanderlyke nee de Mallie I came across Lena's Find-A-Grave memorial (# 131456650) after I sent my last email message. There are a few more de Mallie's buried in Wayne County -- but no Jacob or Peter.
Harrington-Howland I'm looking for a reference or document for the union of Richard Howland to Isabella Harrington #132837490. I would need reference to primary documentation for hereditary societies. Is there a source for this memorial? Thanks.
RE: TNX Hi Johnathon, There may be a connection in Mass. Are you on Ancestry.com? I have 3 Tree's The Cunningham Tree,The Campbell Tree, and The Whole Fam Damily, I just recently made them Public if you would like to check around and see if there is any Connections. Looking forward to hearing back from you, I just love finding New Family Members. Did you by chance have a connection to any of the Memorials i have created?

Mrs. Ann (Mercer) Harrison (1760 - 1787) Hello Mr. De Mallie, my name is Rex J. Harrison (bard) and I found the 'flower token' you left for Mrs. Ann (Mercer) Harrison Find A Grave Memorial# 43205161 (thank you for that!) I have been researching the James River Harrison's but have problems with Benjamin Harrison VI. Would you be so kind as to point me in a good direction in discovering who all of his wives were and children by each wife, dates, places, etc.? I know that after his death (1799,) at least some of his remaining family sold their holdings in Virginia, including Brunswick County (ca. 1801,) taking these proceeds to finance a wagon train for the extended family to Georgia. Eventually, some pushed on to Alabama, then Texas. I also know there was another, unrelated, line of Harrison's living in Brunswick County, VA at the same time as Benjamin Harrison VI's family, and that many records and facts get mixed up between them, as many of their names were similar and DOB were similar as well. I'm also interested on what happened to Berkeley Plantation. My understanding is that Benjamin Harrison VI inherited Berkeley from his father, Benjamin Harrison V. But who took control of Berkeley when Benjamin Harrison VI died? One additional subject. Who is the true, Benjamin Harrison VII and who was his father? My understanding was that back in those times, the numbering scheme could jump from one family line to another. I've been led to believe Benjamin Harrison VII was the son of President William Henry Harrison, and was a doctor. Then, Benjamin Harrison VIII was actually President Benjamin Harrison, but he never used the 'VIII' with his personal signature. I'm trying to confirm this, one way or another. Any help with these subjects would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance. Also, thank you for your help with Find A Grave. I've been able to learn so much about my family using this site, and it's people like you who give so much to us all. Salute! Very Respectfully, Rex J. Harrison (bard)(email@example.com)
