Bio Photo Although relatively new to Find a Grave, I've been working on my family's ancestry for a few decades now; tying up loose odds and ends, and every now and then finding a most interesting connection. Of course, the fun doubled when I got married, and now I get to curate my wife's side of the family too!

I'm a half-Northern, half-Southern living gal in the US, so take photos wherever I find myself working that week. Please let me know if I've thrown up a duplicate record, or got some details incorrect - mistakes happen to the best of us, and they happen to me too :) The most important thing is to get the data correct, so no offense will be taken.

RE: Mary Swackhamer
what I have done when I encounter a memorial in the wrong cemetery and I have a photo in the correct cemetery is post the photo with a caption specifying the correct cemetery, inform the contributor - wait 30 days, and then let the admin handle it. Generally they will just change the burial location.

BTW -- I'm not sure that cemetery even exists.

RE: Mary Swackhamer
I sent the other contributor an email and informed her it is the wrong cemetery - not sure if she is active on the site.

RE: Minna Saums memorial
So, it turns out there are 3 Minna V. Saums in New Jersey around that time. This memorial is for my person's nephew.
I've spend a lot of time trying to sort out these 3 people, and in the process, I think I've found some mistakes on your memorial for Minna V Saums # 119760611 (who is the correct 4th great-grandfather of my husband). I think you may have pasted an incorrect inscription for this memorial. It doesn't match the photograph. Also, according to the photo, the birth date should be calculated at 1805.
Please know I submit these corrections with kindness and much gratitude. Finding your photo was the key to solving the puzzle. May I have your permission to use it in my family tree?

RE: J A Hoagland in Mill Lane
You could also just add a note to Bio that says this may be John A. Hoagland (1793-1868), husband of Catharine Miner, and hyperlink to Catharine's memorial in the same cemetery (#119759570). Her inscription says wife of John A. Hoagland.

Minna Saums memorial
Thank you for posting the photo of Minna & Susannah Saums' gravestone (memorial #119342344). They were my husband's 4x great-grandparents. I would like to ask your permission to use the photo in my family tree.

Erzsebet Gerdan

I was wondering if you would transfer the memorial of Erzsebet Gerdan?? findagrave #132673126. She was my mother-in-law.
