Found this poem while researching through newspapers; it was published in the Rockford Journal; Rockford, Illinois; Saturday, March 2, 1872; p. 2.
Closed are the laughing eyes,
Beneath their curtains fair,
And round a marble brow,
Soft lies the silken hair.
Stilled are the little hands,
That clasp our own no more,
And still two little feet,
That played around our door.
A little voice is hushed,
That we had learned to love,
And now its music sweet,
The angels hear above.
When first the baby come,
We asked for her God's care,
And He hath sent His love,
An answer to our prayer.
Our Father took her home,
Up to His mansion fair;
We surely could not ask,
More tender, loving care.
And yet we loved her so,
'Twas hard to have her go
To seek a fairer land,
And leave us still below.
We know she'll not return,
But in that fairer home,
The little girl we love,
Will wait for us to come.

Widow of May Loretta Adlum...do you know where she is buried? She died prior to 1930 as Walter was a widow there. May is the oldest daughter of Thomas and Leleah Adlum who lived most of their lives in Central New York State. Leleah was the sister of our great-grandfather, Fred C. Masters.

Spencer's death certificate (link below) states burial at Sunnyside Memorial Park. This cemetery is now named Forest Lawn Memorial Park (Long Beach). It is a completely separate cemetery about 4 miles away from Sunnyside Cemetery. See my profile page for more information about these similar and confusing names.
Please transfer this memorial to Forest Lawn Memorial Park (Long Beach). Thanks.

My great uncle Francis is buried in Calvary Cemetery in Rockford IL, not in St. Thomas. Francis' wife Lois (1920-1980)is buried with him. My gr aunts Sarah and Mary are also buried at Calvary. Francis' parents Thomas(1862-1925) and Mary(1864-1956) are buried at St. Thomas in Rockford along with Francis' brother Thomas(1887-1906) and sister Ethel (born and died in 1905). Thomas and Ethel's graves are unmarked.
I am the grandson of Michael(1888-1957) and Ida(1891-1980).
Thank for posting them on Find A Grave and please let me know if you ever need any other family information. Thank you, Mike
