|I became interested in genealogy in the early 1990's and am dedicated to preserving family histories.|
I am a member of the National Genealogical Society, the New York Genealogical & Biographical Society and the New England Historic Genealogical Society. I am also am a lifetime member of the Idaho Genealogy Society and the Edmund Rice Association.
I am a Mayflower descendant, have several Revolutionary War ancestors, and three Civil War grandfathers.
My biggest claim to fame is that my great-great grandmother, Laura LaDocia Ingalls Waldvogle Forbes, is the Aunt Docia that Laura Ingalls Wilder writes into her Little House book, "By the Shores of Silver Lake".
I have visited repositories across the country, conducting research and gathering documentation...from the National Archives to various (7 so far) State Archives, the Library of Congress to state and local Genealogy Society libraries, and of course, the Family History Center in Salt Lake.
I am a volunteer transcriber and for the 1940 census records, was asked to perform the duties of an arbitrator. I have done quite a bit of volunteer research in the local (Boise, ID) repositories.
I have begun working Cloverdale Cemetery in Boise as a Find a Grave volunteer. I have friends (but no relatives) resting there.

Yes, no problem at all. I have added the grave marker with the same info to Ethel's memorial page.
|Casey Sieber||Photo Request for Daniel Sieber|
Thank you for taking photos of Dan Sieber's plot in Boise, ID. I appreciate your help and I am happy to return the favor if you ever need anything.
|Floydene Gillihan||David E Brock|
I am working on the Cross Timbers Cemetery, Cross Timber, Missouri. I just put on David E. Brock's headstone photo. Next to David's stone there is another Brock family member but difficult to read. Looks like maybe a W. H. son of ? and D. E. Brock b. 1874? d. 7 Feb 1900 or 1906 age 34 - 9-10???
I won't put it on until I am more sure of the names and dates - thought maybe you could help.

Sorry, Robin, I realized my mistake after I sent the message. What a fabulous photo of Lena and her husband!! Thank you for posting it. When were they married? You really should consider sharing these wonderful photos and family history with the Laura Ingalls Wilder Memorial Society! An article about Ladocia and Lena would make a great feature for the Laura Ingalls Wilder Lore newsletter.

I love your photo of the seven Forbes daughters! Are you able to identify the other daughters in the photo? I am sure many of us would like to know which girl is the famous Lena from "The Shores of Silver Lake".
Thanks so much for posting the photo of Floyd Landers headstone. It look nice and I appreciate it. Judy
|Ron Zirkle||RE: John Camp|
I have fulfilled the request. I saw that there was a problem posted, but I did not post it. I recognized the name of the person who did. He is a frequent contributor. Since I had claimed the request and had not released the claim, I don't know how that happened. Anyway, I found the grave, took the photo, and fulfilled the request.
|Ron Zirkle||RE: John Camp|
I did not report a problem to Find A Grave. I am still in the process of trying to locate John Camp's grave. The cemetery office is only open part time, but I believe I have located the correct plot on the cemetery's database and plan to fulfill the photo request tomorrow.
|Ron Zirkle||Re: John C. Camp|
The correct plot for John C. Camp in Tahoma Cemetary is B 45 NW 6. This can be confirmed int he cemetary's online database. The plot stated in Find a Grave is incorrect. I was unable to find John C. Camp's record in the cemetary's database when I was there. I have now found it. I will return to the cemetary in a few days and take a photo as requested.
