Bio and Links
Bio Photo I've been involved with genealogy since I first began tracing my family history when I was in my early teens. Thirty years later I am still heavily involved in genealogical projects including not only my family, but families of local veterans. My research has shown me too often that the graves of our ancestors are subjected to neglect and vandalism, a fact that has driven me to document as many graves as I can (particularly of Civil War veterans) to ensure that they are not lost forever. I'd be happy to fulfill photo requests in the Scott County area of Kentucky (including surrounding counties). I am also very interested in any information pertaining to the following surnames: KNOCH, MCGREGOR, RILEY, ZIMMERMAN, ROBAK

RE: Duncan Small
I am not sure, who owns it. You could check with the Reeths Puffer or Whitehall School District.

Richard Mullally a local retired history teacher has been working on finding all the Muskegon County WW Vets. You can contact him on Find A Grave as well. He puts up their military photos and has done several interviews with vets including the women who have served from Muskegon. I think he is in my friend list. You could view his photos and that might help you.

RE: Duncan Small
Kenneth was into language arts more than the others. I know that Duncan was a great grand father when he passed. Ed had his family early.

Right by Pete Sodini's home their is a one room school house that his wife helped to perserve. The local elementary children often go there during the school year to learn what a one room school was like. Another family owns the blueberry farm-but the sign stills says-Sodini's. Pete and his brother were big on local youth baseball. Pete was instrumental in fixing up a local field.

Sodini's blueberry farm is well know in the area- Pete and his brother Frank were both in the service and barbers.

Children: Edward,
Mark, daughter ( I forgot her name) and youngest- Kenneth.
They had their children late in life. When they lived in this area, he was retired. Mary was a good friend who lived in the neighborhood and I met through welcome wagon-newcomers.

I would try Kenneth, he went to University of Michigan and may live out of state. Mark may still live in Muskegon Co, but I am not sure any of the children were into his life before they arrived!

It is easier to photograph a cemetery- where I know no one, but yet a joy to have flash backs of playing euchre and good memories with those who made your lives richer.

I live in Muskegon Co and perhaps can get some of your photo requests done. Sunrise Gardens is flat and may not have markers. Pete Sodini- much loved and well known local barber! Laketon Twp plot map is not easy to read, but I do remember seeing Pete and his wife's marker.

Thank you, I knew the family personally. Good memories. Another pair of eyes is always welcome.
