I have had a life-long interest in genealogy and have been actively researching for more than 60 years.|
I grew up in the northern Maine town of Caribou and, after graduation from the University of Maine, enjoyed a 24 year Army career in Aviation and Special Operations.
Betty (LUKE) and I married at Fort Rucker, Alabama and served in Germany, Korea, and at numerous U.S. posts. Additionally, I served in Vietnam and numerous short tours to the Middle East, Central and South America and the Horn of Africa.
Our son, Chris was born during an assignment to Germany and daughter Shari was born during our Korean assignment.
Retiring from the service in 1991; I was then employed in the homebuilding business as General Manager for three homebuilding companies before retiring in 2009.
Anyone may use the photos I have posted at FAG or at my site. Many of them have been provided to me by other people. I acknowledge the actual owners when I post and I ask that you extend the same courtesy if you use the photos yourselves.

You have a photo on her memorial of her husband Samuel's gravestone but not hers. Do you have one? Thanks. Ken Tyler, Oostburg WI
|Pat Welch||Sarah Ann Noyes|
By chance was wondering if you had information on Sarah Ann Noyes (born Feb 1823 in Charleston SC and died 6 Jan 1910 in Augusta Maine). She is the daughter of Henry Noyes and Mary Gill. Sister to Charles Noyes and Adaline Myrick. (you have a grave for Charles and Adaline.
Anyway, my Sarah married Thomas Henry Welch in Oct 1846 in Attleboro and had three sons, Charles Henry, John William and Frederick Augusta. Thomas Welch and Sarah relocated to Augusta Maine in 1860, he signed up for the Civil War in Augusta in 1861 and died at the battle of Fredericksburg in Dec 1863.
Sarah married Thomas Fargo in Augusta Maine in 1864. She and Thomas Fargo divorced in 1873.
She then married Benjamin Ricker in Augusta in 1883. (she was living with Benjamin Ricker in 1880) - census record. She lived with Benjamin Ricker until her death on 6 Jan 1910 in Augusta.
I have her death record and her father was Henry Noyes from Bath Maine, his noted occupation was sea captain.
Sarah Ann Noyes is my great grandfather John William Welch's mother.
Do you have any information you can share on her?

|Bonnie Willette||Sally Ladd|
Thank you for taking the time to find and photograph the final resting place of my four times great-grandmother, Sally Ladd. In this wonderful day of technology and with the assistance of people like you, I am able to visit her grave without leaving my home. I would otherwise never be able to visit her, and husband Nathaniel's, grave. Thank you, Again, Bonnie

I will add the estimated date of birth in bio. I looked for a birth record but was unable to find one.
