|Dana Garrow||Jeremiah Martin Request|
Hi Sean! I was out at Gate of Heaven this week and was hunting for your photo request for Jeremiah Martin. There is a Jeremiah N Martin buried at the location listed.. however his birth and death dates are different than those you've listed. This Jeremiah was born in 1909 and died in 1926. I wanted to check with you to see if this could be the same person you are hunting for.. It's possible that there's two in this cemetery.. it's the largest I've ever seen! Just let me know what you'd like me to do.. I'll wait to hear from you! Take care, Dana Garrow

Based on the date - I found the obit reading the on-line 1940 "Long Islander" - Huntington, NY paper. The Suffolk County Library System has a number of papers - including the "Long Islander" on-line on their site.
It's always possible that the paper was in error. I've found that to be the case numerous times - mostly on biography but I guess they could be mistaken about the cemetery.
Did you check Cypress Hills ?

Hello! I was at Holy Cross today and noticed your photo request (including grave site location; thanks for that!). Unfortunately, there is no stone on that location (St. James section, Row M, Lot 63) so I photographed the grave and will post it with a "virtual marker" so you can see where it is. -Ken B.

Hi. I saw the memorial for Lucas Pietrovito Peters being shown as part of the "stroll of the virtual memorials cemetery" or whatever its called. On this stroll thing, there is a thumbnail of an actual photo of Lucas Pietrovito Peters. When I go to his actual memorial, there is no photo of him. I wonder if the website is not working properly.

Hi- you asked if I am related to Gallo. No, I am not. I did some work on the Geiger family (for an ol' friend), and Elizabeth (Geiger) Gallo was what led me to those two memorials. The short bio (in each case) is based on the NYC marriage certificate, so I'm fairly sure of what's said there. Are you interested in taking over management of those two memorials? I doubt that I'll be doing more work on that Geiger project; the ol' friend died some time back.
