Bio and Links
Bio Photo ==============================================

I started working on my family tree in 1978 when my mother got me involved in helping her do research. I am now retired and have more time to spend doing genealogy.
A little more than 3 years ago I discovered Find-A-Grave and have been hooked ever since.

My main focus is on the families of Valentine, Virnig, Faust, Maiette, Clourate, Swain, Roots, Jolley, Powell, Fairfax and their extended families.

I also have extended roots in the founding families from Nantucket Island including, Swain, Barnard, Macy, Starbuck and Bunker.

I find old cemeteries fascinating, every old cemetery has it's own unique personality, unlike new cemeteries that are laid out in neat little rows with flat headstones.
So much family history can be found in old cemeteries.

Feel free to use any photos that I have posted, for non commercial use only. (Your personal family trees and Ancestry.com are OK)

I was very fortunate to have many family photos passed along to me, I have posted family photos to share with extended family members that were not fortunate enough to have these photos.

Please use the "EDIT TAB" on each individual page when requesting changes, additions, links, or transfers.

I will gladly transfer any memorial that is not part of my family.

Please do not make duplicate memorial pages!

Duplicate pages really mess up the linking process!

Search the name you are looking for before making a page, if the page already exists request a transfer!

=================== 'HTML' ===================

Find-A-Grave pages will except 'Limited HTML' promps.
You can use standard BOLD opening and closing promps to add Bold words.
You can use standard LINK opening and closing promps to add links to your pages.
You can use standard Italics opening and closing promps to add Italics text to your pages.
To change the Size of the columns use a row of = signs in the first line of copy in the Bio section.
Example, to make larger Bio. Copy space with smaller photos.
Size and Color promps do not work...

RE: George H. Forsman
I ran across a divorce record for George and May Forsman, so that explains why she isn't buried with him. It's amazing what you can find on the internet if you keep digging.

RE: George H. Forsman
Hi Rick,

George Forsman (Memorial# 132114913) was married to
May Forsman who was born about 1892. I wondered if she was buried with him at Holy Cross.

RE: John H. Forsman
Thanks for the photo for George Forsman. He seems more real when there's a gravesite photo.

I see John's last name is spelled Forsmann. My great-grandfather spelled his name with the
double-n so we might be related. I'll keep digging and see what I can find.

Thanks so much for the help!

RE: John H. Forsman
Thanks for the information about John H. Forsman. I don't think I'm related, but I will keep his ancestry just in case I uncover something later.

RE: George H. Forsman
Henry Gerhart Forsman is my grandfather so this is definitely uncle George. Thanks for clearing this up. I'm trying to find all of Henry's children but didn't know if this was really him.

I would like to know if John is related. Can you find his cemetery record?

RE: Photo for Henry Forsman
I believe George is a half-brother to my father. He has the right birth year and was having trouble finding him - so thanks!

I don't know about John.
