I started working on my family tree in 1978 when my mother got me involved in helping her do research. I am now retired and have more time to spend doing genealogy.
4 years ago I discovered Find-A-Grave and have been hooked ever since.
My main focus is on the families of Valentine, Virnig, Faust, Maiette, Clourate, Swain, Roots, Jolley, Powell, Fairfax, Gillam and their extended families.
I also have extended roots in the founding families from Nantucket Island including, Swain, Barnard, Macy, Starbuck and Mills.
I find old cemeteries fascinating, every old cemetery has it's own unique personality, unlike new cemeteries that are laid out in neat little rows with flat headstones.
So much family history can be found in old cemeteries.
Every grave has a story behind it and a story to tell.
Feel free to use any photos that I have posted, for non commercial use only. (Your personal family trees and Ancestry.com are OK)
Please DO NOT repost my photos on Find-A-Grave as your own.
I was very fortunate to have many family photos passed along to me, I have posted family photos to share with extended family members that were not fortunate enough to have these photos.
Feel free to use and copy "Family Photos", I have posted them to share with extended family members.
Please use the "EDIT TAB" on each individual page when requesting changes, additions, links, or transfers.
I will gladly transfer any memorial that is not part of my family.
Please do not make duplicate memorial pages!
Duplicate pages really mess up the linking process!
Search the name you are looking for before making a page, if the page already exists request a transfer!
=================== 'HTML' ===================
Find-A-Grave pages will except 'Limited HTML' promps.
You can use standard BOLD opening and closing promps to add Bold words.
You can use standard LINK opening and closing promps to add links to your pages.
You can use standard Italics opening and closing promps to add Italics text to your pages.
To change the Size of the columns use a row of = signs in the first line of copy in the Bio section.
Example, to make larger Bio. Copy space with smaller photos.
Size and Color promps do not work...

Thank you for the grave marker photo for Flossie Adams. I have never knew she had a middle name so seeing her initial on the stone may help with researching.
|Louis & Mary Stradiotto||RE: Alexander Salvy|
Yes, Rick, please transfer Alexander Salvy's memorial to me. He is my husband's grandfather.
Also other relatives you did are Joseph Camia,
Amelia Garda Camia and their Infant daughter.
Amelia, my husband's great grandmother. Another one is Antonio Stradiotto, grandfather. You can transfer all of these to me. I can update them all as far as missing dates, etc. Thank you so much for all the work you have put into this. It certainly is appreciated.
Mary and Tony Baron buried in Fairmount are grandmother and step-grandfather to my husband too.
Mary Stradiotto, Roseville, CA
Hi Rick, Thanks much for telling me about the trees down. I appreciate that. I understand, not a problem. I had that same problem last year with a bad summer storm.
I know you will get to it when you can, Thanks Sue
Thanks bunches Rick. I really appreciate it. Sue
|Jerry Stremcha||Gladys Vanderhoff Memorial|
Thank you for taking and uploading the photo for her memorial. Your time and effort is appreciated. Thank you for informing me of a duplicate memorial under her former married name. I have requested that memorial be deleted.
|GHenry||thank you for the Eva Carey photo|
Thank you Rick for the Eva Carey photo. And for taking the extra time to include the names and plots around hers since she has no marker.

|Bernard Johnson||RE: The Womach's|
I am a funeral director and am well acquainted with his music. How fortunate you were to have the real thing. Wished I knew of more people in your area. You do beautiful work!!
|Bernard Johnson||RE: The Womach's|
Wonderful work!!! Thanks again. It should only take a few hours, maybe a day. I knew him and he had a wonderful voice.
|Bernard Johnson||The Womach's|
Thanks for the nice photo of Virginia Womach's grave. In my notation I asked that one of taken of the marker for her husband Merrill if his grave was marked as well. I cannot request a photo of his grave because he is listed as "famous", so if no trouble and he is marked, would you please return and get this if you haven't already. Perhaps it hasn't been 'approved' yet. Maybe that is why it doesn't appear as yet. Many thanks again.
