I have known the Crooms since I was 12 and I want to know how your related? I do not think I know you and I cannot remember their fathers name and he use to colporter with my father. Someone made a mistake on the Collegedale list and is calling Dwayne Grooms instead of Crooms and I do not know how to get the corrected maybe you can. google it.

Mamie Smith Headstone Project
I am a writer for Blues Revue, Blues Music Magazine, Sing Out, and other roots music publications for over a decade.

I am conducting a campaign on www.indiegogo.com to buy Mamie a headstone and reburial. If not for Mamie, we may have lost opportunities to record some artists who died or retired by the end of the 1920s.

The indiegogo site is located at:

Re: +James Hayden
Greetings, Terrance. I wish to thank you ever so much for putting up a memorial for +James Hayden, a young actor from New York. According to the touching testimonies from family and friends that I've been able to read, he is as dearly missed as he was dearly loved (and of course still loved by many). A young man, a fine actor, and a soul with a very good heart. May he rest in the eternal peace of Our Lord...

Tito Goya
Hi Terrance -

Thank you for adding the interesting bio on Mr. Goya. There are conflicting stories on how he died however. It was reported on Wiki and the LA Times that he was out on bond and died from liver disease.

Nice to talk to you and Happy New Year.

Carol

I'm not sure why you decided to set up grave for my Dad, Tito Goya, but I thank you for the sentiment.

Warm Regards,
C

Didn't Paul Winfield do the narration for the tv series City Confidential?

Thanks
