I was born in 1945 in Vancouver, WA., and I have lived in Spokane, WA since 1950. I am a Vietnam Vet, a father of two girls, adopted dad of two more children and I claim my wife's three children, as well. I now have twelve grandchilden. |
I graduated from Eastern Washington Univ., taught school briefly, and just retired after fifteen years as the Facilities Manager for Spokane Teachers Credit Union.
You will get more volunteers to take the photos if you include the section and plot locations by calling the cemetery before making the request.
I am enjoying this hobby, but it can be very frustrating when you reach your "brick wall", as we all eventually do.

Thanks for your gumption! Just keep plodding away at your section keeping track of what you have photographed. If you have photos ahead to put in this winter that is great. If not next year will be soon enough. There is no hurry. I am a couple 1000 behind but main thing for me is to get the photos and on a snowy day I can created memorials. I appreciate all you are doing and have done. There is a map in the office on the left bulletin board if you want to keep track there as well. Let me know how you are doing from time to time. Blessings, Rosalie, ReconnectNow

Hi Jack - I recently was able to get more info about George and I added comments in his memorial, you might want to check what I wrote.
Obviously if I made some incorrect assumptions please let me know and I'll change them.
His memorial is : 83006648
Thanks Jack. I will mark that one for you. Good luck with your record gathering. I appreciate your participation. Rosalie
I just wanted to make sure. thanks for the explanation and the picture. I do appreciate it

No, that name isn't familiar to me at all. However, there is a Lois A Ryan Shanks MD that was the daughter of John and Arline Ryan - she served as Coroner for Spokane County before she had a heart attack and died Aug 9, 1983 - her mother had a heart attack and died Aug 22, 1983 - Lois is buried in this same cemetery.
Thank you for letting me know though.Betty

Thank you for the photo of my aunts headstone plus finding the one for my uncle and cousin Jack (or John Jr.) - I didn't realize he was buried there also. Just wondered if you were a friend of the family? It is amazing the things you volunteers find.

Thank you so much for looking for her marker and for checking with the cemetery office. She was to have been buried beside her husband. I can only assume, since she outlived him by so many years, she may have been buried near her daughter in CA, or there was no one left to arrange for a marker beside her husband. At any rate, I do appreciate that you looked.

I am guessing that there is no stone for Wm?
the picture was so small?? was that a marker?

Thanks for the information on Mary E. Edwards final resting place. Do you perhaps know if her husband is also buried there in an unmarked grave. His name was Lewis Grey Edwards and he died in 1920.
Thanks again for your help.
