Bio and Links
Bio Photo My name is Brenda (Boyer) Kohr. My husband Pete and I are researching his side of the family (Kohr/Smith)&(Minnich/Buxton), as well as my own (Boyer/Grimes) & (Beil/Shott). We are not trying to see how many memorials we can amass so that we can have our numbers posted in the "Top Contributors" catagory. We want to make memorials to pay tribute to our families and friends and hopefully help others to find theirs.

We enjoy helping others by photographing grave markers. There are times that we may photograph markers that are near the ones we were asked to take photos of, or if we see one with our surnames. If there is no memorial for these extra photos that we take....I create one. If by chance I happen to create a memorial for a relative or a friend of yours don't hesitate to ask for a transfer. I don't feel the need to keep memorials that I have created. (unless they are family) I only created them so that someone may find a member of their family or a friend.

Your tombstone stands among the rest
Neglected and alone
The name and date are chiseled out
On polished marble stone

It reaches out to all who care
It is too late to mourn
You did not know that I exist
You died and I was born

Yet each of us are cells of you
In flesh, in blood and bone
Our blood contracts and beats a pulse
Entirely not our own

Dear Ancestor, the place you filled
One hundred years ago
Spreads out among the ones you left
Who would have loved you so

I wonder if you lived and loved
I wonder if you knew
That someday I would find this spot
And come to visit you

Those we love don't go away,
They walk beside us every day,
Unseen, unheard, but always near,
Still loved, still missed and very dear.

Thanks for fulfilling another one of my photo requests. It appears that the cemetery needs to go in and do some maintenance, like setting Mary's marker back up. God Bless you for preserving these markers!!!

Photos at Harrisburg Cemetery
Brenda & Pete,

Thank you so very much for the photos from Harrisburg Cemetery. I am so very thankful for your time and photography efforts. These people are a very special to me and my mother and it means the world to me to have an image of their stone. Jennie is my 2x great grandmother & Ellen is my great grandmother. Grover is Jennie's son & Ellen's brother (died too soon) and Edward is Ellen's second husband. Ellen and Edward often took care of my mother. I'm overwhelmed with gratitude, truly. I feel so happy to have an image like this! You've made a big difference in my life. My children will treasure this.

Thank you for making Find-A-Grave amazing!

RE: Henry & Catharine (Forster) Antes
M. F. Simons is Mary Forster (Antes) Simons - Daughter of Henry Antes & Catharine (Forster) Antes. Did you take a photo of the children? If so, I just added profiles for them with photo requests. I don't know where M.R. & Mary F. are buried ?? Signor Muzio married Lucy Antes, a daughter of Henry Antes & Catharine (Forster). Not sure where they are buried either ? Did you find any of these parents ? Thank you so much for your expertise & detailed photos - so much appreciated.

RE: Seilers @ Harrisburg
I'm sorry, I meant his grandparents - Christian and
Elizabeth Wolfarth Seiler - they are linked but no stone located.

Seilers @ Harrisburg
How wonderful you found them! Thank you so much for the photos. Now I'm curious who the stones are next to George A. C. Seiler. I wonder if the one is for his parents who I'm also looking for or possibly a wife. I haven't been able to find much on him or a family just legal related stuff. Thanks again for filling my requests and your contributions to Find A Grave.

i tried to enlarge the photo and did but it was still hard to tell what the inscription was. glad you were able to clear this up for me.

thank you!

RE: Greenawalt, Abraham
because i have his birth and death dates as 1700 - 1785. so those women were born after he died. i'm not saying i'm right, i just wanted clarification!

this dates on his immigration and the Pennsylvania historical literature support this. but who knows... 1700 - 1785 is a long time ago.

he immigrated in 1740 i think via Canada.

let me know what you find and i'll keep digging.

thanks for responding... Cynthia

Greenawalt, Abraham
Hi... I am doing research on the Greenawalt surname. this Abraham died before the indicated two wives were born. Fanny and Elizabeth - could they be grand daughters?? what makes you think they were his wives. just wondering! I'm not finding fault, I just don't want to update my tree unless I understand the info presented.

thanks in advance.
