Bio and Links
Bio Photo Found this site while doing genealogy research on the McDill family. I am always so thrilled when I find a memorial for a relative, it almost makes it seem like I knew them and was there. Thank you to all you volunteers who are working with Find a Grave. Perhaps when I retire, I may be also able to help others in their search.

I am a McDill (Greene-Tucker-Bethune-Brent) married to a Maeda. We live in Meridian, MS, but our families come from AR, MS, SC, HI, and Japan.

Margaret Chestnut McDill
Dear Amy, We are distant cousins. I wanted you to know that Margaret Chestnut McDill died in 1826 NOT 1827 as written on her tombstone. I know this to be true because I have a copy of a letter written by her son describing her death. I have many such letters including one written by Margaret herself. I am happy to share.

Thanks, Amy, for doing this! My husband, Brian Bethune, will be VERY happy to see all of his family history that you have documented. He is a grandson of Roland Arthur Bethune, which I guess makes him your second cousin. He's been wanting me to work on his family for a long time, and I'm so glad that I can show him all of this! :D

Margaret McDill Buck
I got the changes done to Margaret's memorial!! Thanks a bunch for the information. Her husband Samuel Buck was my 4th Great Grand Uncle. His older brother James was my 4th great grandfather. Have you ever been to Hopewell Cemetery in Preble County, OH? I went there last Summer, It is an awesome place!!

I have never seen the Moulder name on the tombstone in the Old Sharon Baptist Cemetery. I always assumed that Margaret had died young. It wasn't until this day I noticed it. Many of the Green family are sleeping nearby. God bless all the Green's an Everyone.
