RE: Thinking of you
Hi Esther,

Thank you for all your wonderful, caring messages. They really mean a lot to me.

My back is doing better and I'm hoping at my next appt (5/1) they tell me I don't need the surgery now after all. The MRI they had me do last month showed further deterioration and more protruding discs, but I'm able to walk now and have little pain, so we'll see what they say.

The worst is missing my mom. My first tulip blossomed today, and I wanted to call and tell her. And last week my cherry tree was in full bloom and I wanted to take a picture to send her. Every day something else comes up that I want to tell her or show her. The will cleared probate on Friday and I'm going up again to work on cleaning out the house some more. Last time I brought a lot more stuff back and left 5 huge bags of my mom's clothes and stuff for the Vietnam Vets of America to p/u. I'm going to bring more stuff back this trip. I hope I can also find someone to buy the house, even tho it'll be a while before it's empty. We moved into that house in 1948; David and I grew up there. There are so many memories in the house, and this trip I'll be alone, because everyone else is vacationing. I'll visit the 103 y/o neighbor again; my mom was her best friend for over 60 years, and she's just lost now. She can barely see or hear, but does well. I can't believe she's still living in that house, but she doesn't want to move in with either of the kids. I don't blame her.

I don't know if I'll go see my mom & dad this trip or not. I did last visit and really lost it. I'll see how I feel, I guess.

Thanks again, friend. You're very special.

RE: Dorothy Allgood
Ok, then I did remember correctly. I didn't know they ever created new markers like that and I really didn't expect info removed.
But every stone in the cemetery is either that size or a few upright ones in a different section. (No crosses, the "tombstone" shape.)

RE: Dorothy Allgood
I wish these messages linked back to the memorial. If Dorothy's memorial is the one I think it is...that surprised me it was a new stone and the war info for Mr. Allgood was removed.

You are very welcome!

RE: Hi Maggie
So glad to hear from you... BUT... sorry to hear you are having health issues. I've just been busy and haven't taken the time to be on find a grave. I need to get back to it soon.

E-mail me if you get a chance. Do you still have my e-mail address? Let me know how you are feeling. I truly am sorry for the loss you had last year of both your brother and sister. And especially to hear you haven't been feeling well.

I think of you so often...

* Hello Esther *
Stopping by to say thanks for the lovely remembrance [of Butterflies & cake] for my Sister Dorothy, on her Birthday Sunday, March 29th. It deeply touched my heart & means the world to me that others wished her a heavenly day.

Warm wishes Esther for a great day.

RE: Pearl and Lottie Mann
Hi Esther,

All I have found on Grace Elizabeth Mann is her in the 1940 Federal census, married with the last name Smith in her father's household, and with a daughter (Lottie) Diane Smith (born 1939). Birth record indicates that Diane's father was Ottis Fitzgerald Smith, but I cannot find anything on him. He wasn't living in the same household. Nothing on Grace or Diane after that time. Do you have anything else on her that would help me search? Joanna
