Oak Grove Cemetery
Hi Leta ...come across one of your postings on the Oak Grove Cemetery. First, saw your husband's surname of Knauss, my mother was a Knauss. She was born and lived her whole life in Branch County, Michigan. She was one of four daughters of Harry and Hazel (Root) Knauss.

What I am interested in is the Oak Grove Cemetery you know anyone that lives in the area of the cemetery, as I am trying to find out if a Everetta (DeShetler) Mosbrugger Valiquette is buried in the cemetery. She died on June 16, 1922 and her death certificate notes she was buried in the Petersburg Cemetery on June 19, 1922. Her first husband, Harold Mosbrugger was a Toledo police officer who was shot and killed and is buried in the Forest Cemetery in Toledo. Her son Glen Mosbrugger died in 1918, and is also buried in the Forest Cemetery. Her second husband Eli Valiquette's death certificate notes he died on Sept 25, 1946 and was buried in the Lulu Cemetery on Sept 28, 1946. Eli and Everetta only been married for 1 year at the time of her death. Everetta's parents Peter & Cora (Bolster) DeShetler are both buried in the Lulu Cemetery. My father's birth father was a Bolster. Thanks ahead of time for any assistance you can offer, and would be most happy to share Knauss family information if wanted. Ron Chard at in Ocala, FL.

I looked at that gravestone and to me it looks like 19th Michigan infantry. His Civil War Pension record reads Company H, 19th Michigan infantry. His widow, Mattie, applied for his pension Aug 26 1892. Found his death record says he died July 6 1892 as a result of a water tank falling on him. A marriage record shows he was born in Genesee County, New York and was age 33 in 1875 making him born about 1842.
