A little about me...I'm a amateur photographer/genealogist/findagraver as well as an extremely proud mommy to six children (3 girls/3boys) and 16 grandchildren! :) I've been working on my own family tree since about 1994...not long after my Grama passed away...she raised me and so I do occasionally refer to her as my Mommy. Family that I am working on are Sanders, Denny/Denney, Cummins, Daglish, McCord, Heater, Galbreath and Lobb. I live with my best friend...my Ed as I call him! and our doggie, Jettie. I found Findagrave while researching our family and have been a die hard "Graver" since!
Update: Married my best friend, My Ed, Oct 3, 2014 and am now officially a "new" person lol
If someone has an issue with any memorial I am involved with please be polite and adult and send a note through the SAC feature and I'll gladly do whatever I can to make you happy! Leave me a rude hateful message and I'll first delete it and then forget about it. That way I'm returning the favor!!!!!!!
From Find A Grave's FAQ...
"The ultimate goal should be to have meaningful, accurate memorials that honor those who have passed away, regardless of who created the memorial or who maintains it."
I have no problem whatsoever doing any updates or links to my memorials and definitely will transfer if I'm not related and you have a direct connection.
I love being able to link up entire families as far back or forward as possible!!! It's like a big puzzle and I also love puzzles :) It gives me a great feeling to get one done! I always try to find a little information to add to the memorials that I create so that it is more than the mere fact that someone was born and they died. Sometimes I'm unsuccessful but believe me I usually spend some time searching before I give up! Stubborness I guess lol.
If I ever add a picture to a memorial that you would rather I didn't please let me know but I prefer to hear from the "manager" of the memorial

There must be a connection. I have an Elijah Galbreth/Galbreath in 1880 census.
"Shows living in Franklin Twp., Jackson Co, Kansas married to Margaret, shows his father's birthplace as Pennsylvania and mother's birthplace as Ohio. Shows family members Jennie, age 21; William W, age 18; James, age 12; Ira E, age 9; Rosettie, age 6; Charles B., age 3 and a farm hand Elsworth Dosson of Indiana, age 15."
I do NOT have this record attached and could not locate it when I just did a quick search. I stole the quoted section from another tree...will see if I can relocate that as well. I added the info only as a possibility at the time.
BUT my Elijah was born 1836 in Indiana and died 4-12-1885 in Ok married Rebecca Merritt 4-1-1862 (wonder if that was already known as April Fool's Day?)😚i
I have not given Elijah as much attention as I have his brother Samuel, my 3G Grandfather. Samuel and Elijah were sons of Samuel and Amelia Neely Galbreath. In that 1880 census I noted above, Elijah's father was born in PA and mother in OH that matches which is why I kept the info.
The 1850 census for Sam and Amelia lists all their children .
I am sure we have more to share! Please feel free to use my email address where it is easier to attach.

Colleen, thanks ever so much for all the work you have done! I enjoyed finding numerous JONES in Mendon and Brookside.
I noted Galbreath as one of your family names...I am a Galbreath from Samuel Galbreath in White County, Indiana with family moving in to Michigan.

Thank you I will try contacting the church.

I just want to thank you for your entries at Whetstone Church Cemetery. I have been looking for the graves of my great great grandparents for some time without any leads. I feel maybe the unknown graves there may belong to Jonas and Jane Bowyer. The farm was just about 5 miles west of there. I know our family had dealings with the church as my parent paid "death dews" to them we went once a year to their oyster supper. I know the Hanshew graves are my grand mothers family. I will go investigate those unknown stones for family. Again thank you.

You had requested a photo from the Athens Asylum Cemetery in Ohio, which we have now placed, along with some additional information. Another relative of hers is featured in a professional and nationally broadcast documentary that was shown in Dec 2014. Only about 10 minutes, and discusses unmarked graves and our Athens group. Hope you enjoy it, and you may freely share any of this information. Thanks!
