Bio and Links
Bio Photo My interests in genealogy lies with my family's roots in southern West Virginia. Walkers on my mothers side and Hatchers on my fathers side. My cousin wrote a 700 plus page book of the Walker History going back to 1734. I took an interest of photographing headstones of ancestors in the cemeteries I was familiar with and then it spread out to larger ones in Beckley and now I am trying to find EVERY cemetery named in this book. I am compiling a photo album of headstone pictures and Find A Grave printouts and cross referencing them to the page they appear on in the Walker History book. I will never ask for a transfer of a memorial that I am not related to the person. I hope one of these days my grandson and future generations to come will appreciate our efforts.
Thanks to Find A Grave volunteer photogs I have received headstone pictures as far away as California and Oregon. Once, while visiting my in-laws in southern Texas, I went to Ft. Sam Houston and found the grave of my third cousin that was killed in WWII. I have a cousin, Sheila Lewis Underwood, that has created our family tree on Tribal Pages using this same Walker history book and in collaberation with her our childrens' childrens' children can look back on our history in awe.
Other family names in my genealogy are Lilly, Meadows, Wallace, Woods, Daniels, among others.

PLEASE NOTE: Before you ask me to edit one of my memorials, please provide documentation to prove your request. I will not change names, dates or places of death or birth without adequate documentation, just because you say so.

ALSO, IF YOU SEND ME A MESSAGE AND DON'T INCLUDE YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS OR YOUR PROFILE DOESN'T ACCEPT MESSAGES, I WILL NOT MAKE THE PROPOSED EDIT OR CHANGES YOU ARE REQUESTING. THERE MAY BE A REASON I NEED TO CONTACT YOU FOR FURTHER INFORMATION OR PROOF OF YOUR REQUEST, AGAIN, JUST BECAUSE YOU SAY SO, DOESN'T MEAN IT IS!!

RE: John Mills Cemetery
Bev,

Thanks for your help on these by the way - forgot to say that on my first response.

You wouldn't happen to be related to the late Clowney Hatcher of Camp Creek WV would you?? He married my great aunt Dallas H. Meadows.

Best regards,
Keith Meadows

RE: John Mills Cemetery
Bev,

I'm not direct lineage to the Shrewsberry line. My direct side is the Meadows side. Caroline and Elvira were Meadows sisters of my GGGrandfather Russie(Robert D) Meadows. I found the link between the Meadows and Shrewsberry from my great aunt and she married a Shrewsberry. Her husbands grandmother was Caroline. A lot of stuff has went on with the cemetery over the past few years. There used to be two cemeteries there and they've been combined. I'll tell them about it - they're past the age of mowing it and my guess is that it's only cleared off so often for holidays or homecomings...

Best regards,
Keith Meadows

RE: Knowles Cemetery
They assume that I have so many memorials because I have requested transfers. I am glad that I am not offended by the few here that can really get on ones nerves:) If I didn't say so before, I really appreciate your work here.

RE: Knowles Cemetery
I pushed my other edits through with fingers crossed. I was once blasted for having so many more memorials than I created. I hated to have to explain that a graver had passed and I volunteered to take over his memorials. Geesh!

Thanks for writing to jpacholke. I have 24 edits I have sent her since 2012 and she will not make the changes but still active and apparently making edits for others. Now that they have the new ability to edit I will go through the emails I saved and try to push them through that way. Thanks for all you do here.

Yes, I got one for her too but it uploaded sideways from my phone. I'll have to get to a computer to reload it properly. I don't know why it is going on sideways because it is straight in my files. I'll get it done soon for you.
