Bio and Links
Bio Photo My interest in genealogy and learning more about relatives, especially direct ancestors, began as a young high school girl -- in large part through my paternal grandmother Cherry C. (Starr) Hein and her brother Jack Raymond Starr who helped pique this interest. It was also fun to pass this interest onto my son Erik Hendrickson who developed a love for his Cherokee roots and history, too.

I love how each person has their own genealogy "puzzle" of sorts that is unique to them. I also think it's pretty cool how you don't know where this puzzle-type road will take you -- it is something of an adventure at times.

To those who leave flowers and kind words at the memorials that I have created and / or have been transferred to me, THANK YOU! It is so touching that others care to pause and show their care and interest.

RE: Curious on Layout
Hi, Sorry to say but I think you mis-understood the question (question was not about your peticular ancestors)but rather how were you able to do the breakout on Find A Grave as to identifying half-siblings. The Family Links has for providing arents and spouses with the automated titles of Parents and Spouse. When adding children and siblings in other bios Find A Grave brings those in on the parents name automatically and gives the titles of Children and Siblings. But I can not find how to get the Half-sibling or step-children title to show up in the parents bio under their BIO. I also just found out how to add a link versus adding the automated link of a grandfather or great-great grandparent because Find A Grave does not have that feature under Family links. Makes life a lot easier when you can link in a long bio say your the daughter of Daniel Boone and there are 3-4 generations in between.

So I will hope you can reply to the adding the titles as well how to group under each group - by this for example when a man has married three wives and had children by each - so that means the other two groups of half-siblings should be broken out under each wifes name but at same time under the man it would be nice as a one stop shop to list his 3 wives and the title half-siblings for each additional wife.

Have a Merry Christmas and Prosperous New Year

Curious on Layout
Doing research on a William Hein who married a great great aunt and came to your Find A Grave for him (115604327). It appears he is not the correct one, hoever you one something I have never been able to do in Find A Grave and that is the separate labels for half-siblings and step-siblings and the separte links. Could you explain please by gouing into my Bio and send a private email please on how you were able to do this.

Thanks.

John

RE: Alta Williams
Alta's grandfather Robert Williams was the brother of my X2 great grandfather Elijah W Williams. Their dad was James Williams; mother was Judith Mimms who was also the aunt of Jesse and Zerelda (Mimms) James.

I have noticed that you are the caretaker of several memorials of members of the Williams family buried in Goff Cemetery. I assume you are related to them as I am. Please contact me as I would love to find out how we are related.
