Stephen & Magdalena(Miller)Kauffman I am looking for the burial cemetery for Stephen(1798-1865) and Magdalena(1796-1857). Our records say they are buried in Elkhart County. They are my 2nd great grandparents. Are they buried in Eldridge Cemetery?
RE: Marlin E. Chupp #161131786 Unless I have a photograph of my own I don't post a picture. I was told by a couple of funeral homes that using pictures that appear on obituaries from a funeral home are copy right protected & there will be a lawsuit unless it stops.
The Clark family How interesting that the Clark name isn't on the top of their stones at all. I didn't even notice that. The bottom of the stones do say "Children of John and Viola Clark" though, so that is definitely verification of who they are. Also, in the photo you posted for Cecil Clark, I can see the stone for Maud P. Bradley in the background. Maud Pearl (Clark) Bradley was an older sister to these three Clark children. She was my husband's 2nd-great-grandmother. She died in 1997 at only 20 years old of typhoid fever. Very sad. In between the stones for Cecil and Maud, I can see another stone, and I wonder what that is. The next time you are there, could you take a look at that stone and tell me if there is any inscription on it? Thank you!
Clark children Thank you very much for posting the photos for the three Clark children. How sad that they all died within two days of each other. They were the three youngest of the 7 children in the Clark family. I can't imagine the loss their family felt, having three little ones gone within two days. I appreciate the time and effort you gave in getting these gravestone photos to add to their memorials. You are a blessing! --Kathy
Stephen Parnell Hello! Thank you so much for the volunteer work and effort! I agree with you that the photo you posted is not for the same Stephen Parnell. I think it would be best to remove it from the memorial, like you suggested. But, would you please create a new memorial for that Stephen Parnell with the dates that the stone shows, and then add the photo to that new memorial? I don't know who he is just yet, but more than likely I'll find his connection to the Parnell family, and maybe someone else is already looking for him. Thank you so much for all of your work! It's a blessing! --Kathy
RE: Marlin E. Chupp #161131786 I used to attach photos to memorials. I received 2 warnings that posting photos from obituaries was copy right infringement & was told to cease doing it. Unless I have a photo from another source I post under other, not grave, person or family, simply a tribute.
RE: Katherine Schrock # 160863636 Sorry didn't mean to cause such a stir. I found your memorial first as I searched for her on the last name of Schrock. I tried to add her parents' links but it gave me an error with the husbands on the link - not sure why. it would only take it if I deleted the spouses so I did so I could send you her parents' links. Afterwards I went to her father's memorial and saw that she was already linked to her father but as McCarthy rather than Schrock (Find A Grave Memorial# 160857837). I checked to see which of you 2 had the first # to let you know that there were duplicates. I have no idea why the other memorial only listed her as McCarthy rather than Schrock other than the headstone was a double with her first husband McCarthy. I also sent a notice to the other person letting them know that her last name should be Schrock rather than McCarthy. They declined my edit and now it seems they've deleted their memorial. However, I just checked her father's memorial and she's now linked to him through yet another memorial - this time with the name McCarthy-Schrock - Find A Grave Memorial# 160854426. Sigh!
