this is for you: sense you have your messages turned off, I have no choice but to leave you a message here in hopes that you see it. This is what I received today, 7/4/16

"Greetings,

Find A Grave contributor Anonymous 2 has made a suggestion to you regarding your Find A Grave memorial for Stephen Abel.
Link to memorial: http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GRid=160846379
Link to contributor profile: http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=mr&MRid=47578585

Their suggestion:
-------------------------
This is in regards to "H RAY SWANK".

I don't know WHO you are, however, I have sent FAG a complaint asking who you are and what gives you the right to go into one of my memorials and make changes. According to the obituary all that is listed is H Ray Swank, NOT Harold Ray "Ray" Swank. I'm responsible for his memorial not you. Please DO NOT go into my account again and make changes to anything. I will be declining everything from you from here on out. I don't appreciate deception. How many other memorials have you gone into and made changes without permission?"

My response:

I'm sorry you're so upset. I didn't think I had such powers. All I did was fill our an edit request to inform you what his name was and that they called him by his middle name. Isn't that what the edit button was made for? I realize I'm old and only been a member for 9 years but this has never happened before that I know of. I thought we were suppose to help one another and share the information we had. My memorials are not mine, I'm simply a care taker while I'm here, until someone who loves them wishes to be their caretaker and request a transfer.

Thank-you for the blessed holiday.
Carol

Forest Lawn Cemetery
Greetings! You took photograph of a sign for Forest Lawn Cemetery. The sign is illegible to completely read. I would like to be able to contact the current caretaker or office for this cemetery. If you are able to assist me with this endeavor since you know the location of the cemetery, it would be very beneficial. Please contact me by leaving me a message through the editing messages on Ann Elizabeth Hillegass Lewis Memorial.

Thanks for the info. It's not the first time tombstone information has been wrong. There are a lot of errors in genealogy as a whole. We can only correct them as we find them.

Hi Carol. Sorry I did not reply to your last message. Sure I can manage his memorial. I'm not sure what that means however. I have not done that before. I really have only asked for edits so I am a newbie to this.

RE: Ephriam & Adaline Yaw
I am a Yeaw by marriage. The source for the information I sent you is "The Yaw-Yeaw Family in America". First Edition of this book was 1962 and it was compiled by 3 members of the Yaw-Yeaw Family that had done extensive research on their family lines. At that time the research involved direct communications with family members still alive. James Yeaw and I (Carolyn Yeaw) are currently updating this book. We check and recheck all information sent in to us from Yaw-Yeaw family members all over the United States.
While updating our Yaw book we are simultaneously updating findagrave. :)

Vernon B. Marcus
Thank you for the contact number for the New Carlisle Cemetery. I did put in a request for Vernon Marcus's grave marker picture last year, and had wondered if he was still buried there, they confirmed that info. Vernon was attached to Company G of the 184th Infantry Regiment, 7th Division, in mid 1942, and had fought with that Company through the Aleutian, Marshall Islands and Philippine Campaigns where on October 21st of 1944 he was wounded in action on the Island of Leyte. I very much appreciate your help..
