Grandmother introduced us to our family history in 1949 when we were very young. The tales of the adventurers, frontier men, Minnesota Scots fur traders, French trappers and the five American Native Chiefs in our family line fired our young imaginations.|
We have become the family historians. Our personal interest resides specifically with these surnames:
BARTLETT, BLACKBURN, CHURCH, CISSELL, CLARK FOLSOM, HAYDEN, JEWEL, LESSERT, OSGOOD, PAYNE, THOMPSON
ANDERSON, AYRD, BEAR, BROWN, CAMPBELL, CARLI, CARRICO, CHATILLON, CRAWFORD, CURTSINGER, FRENIER, GREY CLOUD, HAGEN, HAYDEN, LEcLAIR, PUGH, RENSHAW, RENVILLE, ROBERTSON, ROY, THOMPSON, TOON, VALANDRY, WABASHA

|Marta Walker Betts||Amos Rathbun (Rathbone) inquiry|
Hi, My 3x great grandfather was Amos Rathbun, son of Amos Rathbun and Mercy Mattison. It appears the information in Find-a-Grave was provided by you. I am trying to find evidentiary documentation connecting 4 generations of sons to fathers; Albert Rouse to Amos Jr, Amos Jr to Amos Sr, and Amos Sr to Thomas Jr (1736-1800).I don't see Rathbun (Rathbone), Davis, or Mattison as one of your listed surnames, but I'm hoping you can help me with my search. Albert Rouse Rathbun was my 2x great grandfather.
Thank you for anything you might be able to provide.
Marta W Betts (Walker-Novotny-Rathbone)

It's a church I'm sure you could call and ask if there are records. I photographed every tombstone. I don't mind going back, if you find out where their graves are located.

That is page 1 and page 2 of his will. I just sent you an email. If you want to see the will I can send you the pages if you reply to the email. I just want to make sure I have your correct address.
|Sherlock||RE: Merry Delight Foster Payne|
I took the picture of Delight Payne in June 2003 during a visit to her house. Her sister Joy was there also that day. They both said that it was OK to take their picture. Both were widows at the time and their homes were within walking distance from each other. Yes you are welcome to copy the picture for your family. Please note on the back side that I took it. My great grandmother Martha Ferguson Marley was their great aunt.

I am very glad that you answered my note.
You asked WHO I was related to in the family?
She was the daughter of Zackary Taylor Ferguson ,who was Wilkes County Commissioner at one time. Bartlett Alphonso was her brother and was my Grand father. Thanks for locating her grave site for me.
I have found a lot of family information on Fine a grave.

|Jessica Call||Carli/Brown family of Minnesota|
I know we communicated in the past about our Carli/Brown family connection. I'd like to find out more about your side of the family. I descend from Lydia Brown Carli and Dr. Christopher Carli. I'm trying to find out who Carmen Brown is. I have photos of him and was told he was a descendant of Joseph R Brown. I'd love any help you could give me. My e mail is firstname.lastname@example.org

|muggah||RE: Jesse Jewel's tombstone|
My friend is having a difficult time photographing the stone, because she's never done this before and apparently the stone is tipped forward, making it difficult to get the camera angle she needs. I've put the photo into my photo editing program and darkened the contrast and this is what I read:
January 27, 1870
AE: 81 ys 6 ms
His wife died
Dec 5 1877
AE: 79 ys 9 ms
Hope this helps! If she manages to get a clearer picture, I will repost it.
