Bio Photo I am a descendent of Francis Hall. His BIO is in the book 'Hall's of New England' Francis arrived from London, England to Massachusetts Bay, Boston on the ship Hector, June 26,1637. He came to America from Milford. county of Surrey, That is my maternal grandfather 9th back. Surnames of my family are Hall,Rhoades,Mann,McClean,Wallace,Clark,Price,Knapp,Burgess, Strait,Witherspoon,Swayze,Meeker,Meachum,Swift,Minnick,Decker,Younger,Pankey,Terrill,Morgan just to name a few. My paternal grandfather Moses Andrew Mann I am still working on that side, I can only trace back to his grandfather Charles Mann from Indiana to Cedar County,Missouri. Charles's wife Louisa Williams I have had not a problem tracing the ancestors back to her 3rd great grandparents Robert Williams from Marion, Pembrokeshire, Wales and Gwen Cadwallader. I got interested in my heritage when my grandmother Lucy Clark (Mrs. Moses Andrew Mann) told me her father served on the House of Reps. in 1894 for Bourbon County,Kansas.
It just amazes me to think of how hard my ancestors worked to get our family to where we are today. Most of my immediate family are now located in southeast Kansas and southwest Missouri. I am always looking for cousins (and have found a few on

RE: Emeline 'Emma' Hornbeck- Sortor
Patsy-I have connected the parents to Emma's memorial & I also added Emeline as her name with Emma as a nickname. If you would like to be the memorial keeper for this memorial please let me know along with your ID number & I will transfer it to you. Thank you for the addition information as I am always happy to add any new information to any memorial that I may be on.

RE: Laura Martin Hornbeck Corrections
All of that looks you know who Valentine's wife was? I think I had found one census with his wife's name on it. I'll have to dig in some more, for sure!!

Box Township/Cedar County is exactly where Laura and Henry lived. I rode out there a while back (some of the Hertzberg family still has the property today) with my step mother. The house that the family has a few pictures of burned down or was taken by a tornado, I forget which. Their son Cecil was my grandfather.

Are you looking at your family records, or how do you know that Laura was born to Valentine?

Excited to finally know!

Laura Martin Hornbeck Corrections

I got your corrections for Laura Hornbeck. Laura is my 2xGR Grandmother. We've been unable to find much on her. I have found two census' that could be her family, but we're unsure of which one. We do know that her husband Andrew J Hornbeck remarried at least once after her death.

Can you tell me how you determined that she was born in Moniteau County and died in Prairie Home?

As I said, we're trying to figure out which Martin family she was born to; we would love to know where you found this info!

Thanks so much!

MOrgan Morgan Photo@Gwynedd
The photo for Morgan Morgan 1739-1832 probably belongs to another much later Morgan Morgan. Daguerreotypes began in 1839 seven years after the death of this Morgan Morgan.
