|I love genealogy. My husband and I traveled to find the gravesites of our relatives and were so thrilled when we found them. We took pictures and made memorial pages for our family albums so when I found Find A Grave I was happy to be able to add them for future family researchers. What a great idea!|
If I have posted a Memorial or photo that needs a correction please use the edit button for the memorial and I will make the correction. I am also willing to add Bio information.

|Jerry Swain||RE: Photo request for Chas. Crumbley|
Thanks, that's one more mystery solved and we can put him to rest.
|Jerry Swain||Photo request for Chas. Crumbley|
You and I both searched for Charles Crumbley in Oaky Grove Cemetery and then you searched for him in Liberty Baptist Cemetery but neither of us could find him. I accidently ran across him in Lawrence Cemetery while looking for other requests so I had the request for Charles moved to Lawrence Cemetery. Would you mind removing your "Claim" so I can post the pictures?

I was looking at the other Jesse Davis and that wife was buried else where too. It never ceases to amaze at the things they did that make no sense today.
My Bass family left the Sumter, Tifton, Worth Co areas after the Civil War looking for work. They were still stuck there during the depression. My Daddy left Bradford County Fl and migrated to Thomas at the ripe old age of 13. He told my Mother they were all starving and he felt like he was one less to feed. He was in such personal agony from the depression, that he stock piled can food until the day he died. He meant he would never be hungry again. Must be why we are all over weight, we had to eat everything on our plates, as he said, the children in India and starving and we can't waste anything. I just went a hundred miles to say, they were so poor that most of their burial locations are unknown.

This does appear to be the same family. Seems to me to many couples are not buried together. The one left behind remarries and goes elsewhere. I guess moving them was expensive then too.
Thanks for this.

No, I haven't other than my grandmothers bible, and she did not list where she is buried. Jasper's first wife, Ella Hutto is my line, and I've been looking for information on her for over 30 years.
