I owe my love of family history to my grandfather, Dennis Wheeland. Some of my fondest memories are going through old family albums with him and listening to him tell me stories of our ancestry. I was about 18 when I started actively researching our tree and started my husband's in about 1996. Found FindAGrave.com while searching and knew, that with all of the cemeteries that are so close to where I live, I needed to contribute something.|
If you are the direct descendant of someone I have transcribed please contact me regarding having the memorial transferred.

#35720882. The birth and death dates do not agree with the dates on the tombstone.

I am very glad I could help. Replies like this are why I keep doing it. Someone helped me greatly in the past and I am trying very hard to pay it forward.
As far as how many wives Myron had, in researching if the Gages next to their stone were related I discovered that his marriage card to Dezette for Dec 3 1875 states that this is his first marriage.
When you then look at the 1900 census it does say Sarah D, but that they had been married 24 years. That all calculates back to approx the 1875 marriage date. That leaves 13 years until his death in 1913.

I was looking at some graves at the Pamplin Cemetary and saw your name and read your bio. Do you have any idea where the Farra, Pankey, Beale Cemetary may be? I'm a descendant of Pankey and was looking for the cemetary. I live about 3 hours away. Thanks for any information you can provide.

|Banks||looking for a gravesite in Evergreen|
I am looking for my grandmother's (Sarah"Lizzie" Elizabeth Harmon)grave. She lived in Evergreen, Appomattox, Virginia from around 1913 until 1928. She died in her home on Evergreen Road on April 30, 1928. Her death certificate indicates that she was buried in Appomattox. I am not sure of the cemetery but thought it might be close to where she lived. In your search for graves have you come across a grave with a metal cross of some sort marking the grave? I was told by a family member years ago that they believed the grave to be located near the woods at a cemetery in Evergreen but I don't know the cemetery.

Hi Christine, Thanks and not to worry. I am also traveling on Sunday. My mom-in-law passed away and we have to fly to Montana for services.
I do know Henry Webber and we collaborate where our Virginia families intersect. My main partner for my research is Doris Baldwin who grew up in in Pampllin and lives in Lynchburg. Thanks for your help.
