Bio and Links
Bio Photo I try to complete the photographing of each cemetery before moving on (almost 100% of the pages I have posted are info. from the photos I take). Good luck to everyone finding their loved ones! **Have had many contact me that they only found their loved ones on this site which is why the cemeteries need to be photographed. That and many headstones are breaking off or getting buried, sad.

Please DO NOT take my pictures of people/family and post them on other sites without my permission. I am seeing all of my family pictures posted all over by people who aren't related and have no idea who they are. (Every one has shown up all over on Ancestry without approval)

I DO post "unknown" when a name isn't known. I do this from the cemetery photos I take. I go back, when I can, and try to find info on all the ones I post. These need to be left on the site so people can see who else is in the cemetery. I have seen MANY errors on names and dates when they were posted from a list. Much better to say "unknown" than have wrong info posted...

I normally transfer by the Findagrave Guidelines (family within 4 generations or back to Great Grandparents). Otherwise use the edit link to send me pertinent info. Thanks!

** Please do not post scanned obituaries, death certificates, or census records to the pages I add. If you have an obit. you want pertinent info. added from, feel free to send it to me. Also NO DUPLICATE headstone pictures, they will be removed.

** I do not post entire obits on my pages. My family and many others do not care for all that on our pages so I post the pertinent info: names, dates, occupations, and I link family members whenever I can. There are many more complaints about find a grave because entire obits are being posted than any other reason.

I also DO NOT post pages for LIVING Persons on here. *** Guidelines say NOT TO unless it is YOURSELF or a FAMOUS PERSON with a headstone in place.

**I do not link pages to "unknown" pages where there is just a name and no idea when or where a person passed on and where they are buried. I put the names that are pertinent in the bio area.

I got in touch with Kathy and after looking at the headstone, she thinks it's Wheeler. So I moved the picture to her page, along with your transcription reading.

I checked out that last line again, and think it says "Prepare for death and follow me." Does that make sense?

RE: Wm Henry and Emma James
I need to run some errands this morning so will get back to you. 6ft 2inches is very tall for a woman! Do you have a photo of her? I could compare it with mine as my woman looks to be 5ft 2inches! Lol. Thanks - Audrey - if you email me, I'll look further into it.

RE: Private Daniel McCoy, Co. G, 86th Illinois
Deb, I am thrilled you brought the Eureka Methodist Cemetery issue up. We need to talk more about this. Have you read my biography of John Wiley Adams, who served in Co. A of the 86th? He is buried there and I can still take you to his grave. Please read the bottom half of his biography, the part in parenthesis, and then write me again. I would love to get ONE FOOT IN THE GRAVE and some of the local historical society members to talk about this situation. I want to remark John's grave and I think the VA will tell us that we can. Take a look at John's bio and write me again. Thanks, Baxter

Viola Jane Mauk Reynolds
Viola married my grandfather, Evert (notice spelling) Taylor Reynolds. I don't know your relationship with her, but I have their original marriage certificate, their wedding picture (tintype), another tintype of them, a tintype of Viola with another woman (probably a sister), a black and gold funeral notice about her father, a letter written to her by her sister, Cora, a long braided strip of her hair (lovely!), and a picture of her by herself, and, of course, many pictures of Evert. My mother (Meryl, daughter of Evert and his second wife, Olive Clanin) had a two-piece dress (long and heavy) belonging to her for a long time, but someone borrowed it and, unfortunately, lost it.

Martin Henry Cassell
Hello Deb,

Carol Dorward, Washington Historical Society gave me a location for Martin Henry Cassell in the Glendale Cemetery, Washington Twp., Tazewell Co., Illinois in a letter in 2008:

Martin H. Cassell
February 17, 1849 to August 10, 1887
Lot: 7-6-W-1
(He died in the Chatsworth Train Wreck). I have a copy of the book.

I was unable to locate him on the cemetery website. Do you have any information?

Thank you

Thank you so much for the work you do! Without you, I would have never been able to find my husbands grandmother! He was a small child when she died, estranged from his Mother (her only child) who didn't know when she died or where she was buried. It's just wrong to have family out there and have no idea where they are. Thanks to you we know where she is.

Thank you so much!!!
